   Pool Farm Park has a decades long history of 'bad boy' local kids, who for years, have used the park to ride quads and stolen motorbikes, churning up the fields before setting fire to the nicked vehicle or chucking it in the stream. They have ridden straight at people, including me and seem to possess no brain cells and certainly no morals.This to the eternal annoyance of the poor residents who live around the park's periphery. In spite of valiant efforts by me, various volunteers and our local councillor to organise litter picks it is MASSIVELY littered with mainly plastic bottles, but also a gazillion cans and broken glass. It isn't safe to walk at night and if you do walk your dog there in the daytime like I do, then keep an eye out for unfriendly dogs who are sometimes let out by their owners or escape to roam free and collarless in the park. It's such a shame because if the locals cared enough (they don't appear to) it could be a fabulous little park with many varieties of trees, a beautiful carp pond and lots of interesting birds and insects. The pond is very old and very deep, and there are ancient mounds nearby, dating back to the bronze age which in my view, should be a protected place of archeological interest. The police and community leaders get together sometimes to stop kids racing there, they seem unable or unwilling to make a genuine effort to do preventative work with the locals, so the situation remains unchanged. There is a new play area for children which is nice and if you get up early on a crisp autumn morning, the sun just coming up and a mist over the park, it can be truly beautiful. I wish someone cared enough to make a change. I tried but the commitment from others was very short lived and I can't do it without a great deal of support. Here are photo's I took this morning.....

   Pretty park and garden with lovely trees however there is so much litter and glass it's a shame the council haven't cleaned it up. Dog friendly but not off lead as there is so much glass not safe.

   The park is dog friendly just don't let them go in the water, it's not safe. A new playground has been built away from the entry on Gospel lane, towards the pond.
