“Absolutely beautiful place for a morning run and a sun rise”

“On a hot day this facility is a god send. I checked other outdoor pools and they were pre book only, all were fully booked. Banbury is first come first serve, you turn up at the time (get there early) and you get in. Very well organised, 4 very vigilant life guards, beautiful and enormous pool.”

“My daughter attended a party held here. The staff were extremely helpful, as we had arrived early and didn't recognise anyone who was swimming at the time. The grounds were beautiful and I would recommend this place with its outdoor swimming pool, especially to families. It's a brilliant vibe with plenty to do.”

“A very nice park.There is a fair amount to do here. For exercise And it looks like it is maintained fairly.Well, at the moment, there is quite a lot.Of leaves on the ground, which makes for slippery underfoot, but other than that is really nice”

“Great pool. Easy to access. And very clean. I would recommend fixing some of the chairs in the spectators area as cracked and maybe a grab rail as stairs are steep.”

“Held our 8 year old granddaughters birthday party. Our granddaughter is disabled, Fiona is so helpful and wanted to ensure she had a good time. This is our 2nd birthday party hete. Lovely garden area for serving food and drinks. Lots of floats in the pool, and changing rooms with heated flooring.”

“My grandaughter swam a length of the pool after only ll lessons with amazing teacher,had been at another,swimming class for over a year and had not learned to swim.”

“brilliant facility’s. gym has everything you need and more. swimming pool, sauna and steam room are excellent. changing rooms have a lot of space. brilliant overall and very clean. staff are kind respectful and helpful. defo worth it!”

“Very nice building and lovelly pool. A real asset for the people of Peterborough who need to do everything possible to make sure that this facility is kept operational. Very traditional feel with some nice music in the background, well organised swimming lanes, and plenty of changing and toilet facilities available. Changing and toilet facilities are male and female at either end of the complex. There is a cafe and several outdoor areas to eat, with food and drinks available, although I'm not sure what time the cafe opens!”

“We are recent converts to adult swim and find the facilities and ambience are first class. From easy parking to comfortable and simple changing facilities and its a fabulous and comfortable pool. Staff are polite and helpful, and the whole experience is excellent. We look forward to our visits and have not been disappointed.”

“It’s just beside River cam for new swimmers. Currently the River cam is not advisable for swimming due to poor water quality.”

“Our first visit to this pool with my 4 year old daughter. We both loved it. Great facilities and amazing value. The venue is modern and clean. The food was great and also great value. This will be our new Sunday spot for daddy daughter day. A massive thank you to the bar staff and pool staff/life guards . Not only for being friendly. “I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding swimming lessons my children receives at Kempston pool. The progress they have made has been brilliant, and I attribute much of this success to the exceptional way the instructors attend to the children. I have been particularly impressed by: * Individual Attention: Despite managing a group, the instructors consistently notice individual needs. Whether it's correcting a specific technique or offering a word of encouragement to a hesitant child, they provide personalised feedback effectively. * Patience and Encouragement: The instructors demonstrate remarkable patience and have a wonderful, positive attitude that clearly motivates the children. They celebrate small successes, which really boosts confidence. * Clear Communication: They explain techniques in a way that is easy for children to understand, adapting their approach as needed. * Creating a Safe & Fun Atmosphere: My children feel safe and supported in their lessons. The instructors balance learning with fun, making it an experience my children genuinely look forward to each week. “Recently joined Saxon Pool on a swim membership. Pool and changing areas are clean and the staff are friendly (special shout out to super polite Sophie). A few more late quiet swims on the timetable would be welcomed, but in all honestly we are impressed and highly recommend.”

“So yes, it is an old pool, but the pros massively outweigh the cons and there are some quite unreasonable reviews here. Pros:- 33 metre pool, Lovely staff, Lovely community vibe, Wide lanes, More flexible swimming times, Properly hot showers, Big changing cubicles (useful if you're 6ft3 like me) Decent pool temperature so you can really go for it when you swim. Cons:- It is old so there are rust marks that have built up over the decades, giving it an untidy/grubby look, although it is as clean as any other pool. Unfair and generally negative reviews about teeny things by unsympathetic people. The negative reviews about this pool stopped me trying it for 3 years and the only reason I went was because the Kempston one was closed for a period of time. It is in need of a refurbishment as it is an old pool, but it isn't any dirtier than any other pool I've been to. The one in Barnet North London is pretty much a brand new centre, and I've seen that one in significantly worse states than Robinsons due to customers being gross and disrespectful. So, if you want to go swimming in a nice, well maintained, historical pool with a great community vibe, nice respectful people, spacious lanes, is open when you want, and you can understand that it has battle scars from years of service, then this is the pool for you.”

“Our 8 year old granddaughter was taught by an fantastic swimming instructor (Oliver) today. It was amazing how quickly she progressed - which gave her the confidence she needed Highly recommended!!”

“This pool is a really nice place to swim and train. The staff are excellent. My wife is paraplegic and enjoys swimming unfortunately most of the pools in the area, although they all have disabled access the staff at Kettering pool make it much more pleasant. There is nothing that is too much trouble for the staff. They are all patient, friendly and informative. I feel that it is the staff here that make this such and enjoyable palce to swim. The hoist to get in and out ofbthe pool is an old pump style and it is hard work for the staff yet not once have I heard any member of affairs complain or grumble about this. A big thanks to the staff at Kettering pool.”

“First time using this pool and really really impressed! Water nice and warm! Waves great! Not over-crowded and more to do than most other pools in the area! And totally agree with the other reviews about the life guards........ there were loads of them AND they were actually doing their job! Will definitely be making the 30 minute journey from Northampton to come here again! (and really hope the outdoor part does open in the future.....would be the icing on the cake!)”
