I am fuming about my experience yesterday at this filthy facility. My partner and I looked online before going here with my two grandsons aged 3 and 5.We had told them there was a slide and wave pool as had read on line. We live 45 mins away so wanted a good experience for the children. Online it had said Β£7 per adult and 5years and under were free. We arrived to be told it was Β£9.50 each (Β£38 in total) due to an inflatables session but only accessible for children 8 years and over. We said the children couldn’t use the inflatables but was told we still had to pay. The slides were not available either. We were going to try somewhere else as Β£38 was far too expensive for what little they were able to access but the boys were tired after the journey to get there and we didn’t want another long car journey so reluctantly paid up but this was a disgusting amount to charge when the staff knew the boys couldn’t access anything. We did out best to ensure they had fun. Once in the pool we were told after we had got wet that the session finished in 5 mins so had to sit poolside getting very cold for the next session. Surely staff should have told us about this before we entered the pool. No lockers were available so we had to take all our belongings poolside. No access to flumes or floats was allowed. A very poor experience all round. To add to this the changing rooms were filthy with rubbish and food on the floor and the showers were cold. Even my 3 year old grandson turned up his nose at the conditions. Obviously we will not be returning to this facility and will certainly tell our friends to stay away. I wish we had read the reviews beforehand as it would appear others have had a similar experience. I certainly intend to seek compensation for this appalling experience.

Health suit stinks of urine. The floor was filthy. The toilet needs a good clean, including the sink. I would never walk anywhere in there without flip flops on. You need to employ cleaners

Great playpool for the kids, mine always have a brilliant time here. The pool is large enough that there’s lots to do. Reasonably priced as well. Changing rooms could benefit from a revamp but overall a great family place

The pool is reasonable but the showers and bathroom facilities are terrible. Only 1 toilet has been working for ages. And the showers are either all freezing or don’t come on at all. Trying to wash young children is a nightmare after swimming lessons, and we are looking for a different pool simply due to this. Especially heading into winter, the children all have to wait for one shower that supplies hot water. I have asked at the pool about this several times and the staff just say they are aware of the issues, but clearly no one does anything to sort it.

Standard pool quite dirty considering it was 18 pound for two adult and a child thats pretty disgusting, outer areas are not bad but inside u can see the dirt everywhere on the bottom of pool. Not bad but wont be paying that again just to swim its expensive

Not enough changing rooms, changing area too small people bumping into each and undressing and dressing to close to each other, little children running around whilst ladies trying to get dressed or undressed, lack of showers, there should be notices on the wall, telling people not to hug the showers as other people like to use them too, some people taking a full shower bringing their shampoos and shower washes with them when there are only 4 showers. The changing area is very cold. Changing rooms not very clean I have found dirt stuffed in the corners of the room.

So we went as a family twice to give it a fair chance. First time during lockdown and found the whole COVID process poorly thought out and considering the situation, the pool and surrounding area to be quite dirty. The changing rooms were absolutely shocking. We went again last week to see if things were different ☺️ under normal circumstances. I looked up the times online before leaving. I tried to call also but was on hold for ages and no one picked up. But figured I was just being too over cautious. Arrived with our 3 year old to be told there was no swimming until 12:30 (about 1.5hrs after) and that was adult swimming. Explained I looked online and they gave a few different reasons for it not being right....old system, old information, taken me to their sister pool elsewhere etc etc. Sat blank and expressionless and just didn't care. Obviously we won't be going back there again. So fed up with that place. As it happens we then looked up other local pools and found the most excellent place just 10 minutes up the road in Wellingborough. Wonderful pool, polite and helpful staff, immaculate building and changing rooms, cheaper as under 5s go free and a nice warm pool. Our daughter loved it and that's our new go to place for sure.

I have been coming to swim for over a year and recently took out a membership. I must say, things have gone worse. On Sat 10/12/22 i showed up around 5-15 pm for what was supposed to be a swim session running to 6 pm, but the whole place was just shut, without a note or explanation. Now, hair dryers in female changing room have been out of order, and no attempt to fix them, exactly in the weather when it is dangerous to go out with wet hair. Last but not least, today two employees decided to clean the female showers at a moment when i was trying to take a shower, and it was overall weird and also clear that I was in their way. They did not stop and rather continued to move closer and closer.

Staff here seem to be hit and miss. Some are lovely and very helpful, whilst others are just downright rude. I brought my kids for the inflatable session and they were kept waiting for 10 minutes to actually get into the pool, whilst the thing was blown up. One staff member seemed to take great delight in telling his colleagues that he would have got everything set up by now, then walking over and blowing the air on himself, rather than providing any useful assistance. During the 10 minutes of paid session time that was wasted setting things up, several people were shouted at to get out of the water. I fully understand health and safety needing to be adhered to but the people were in a completely separate section of the pool and had already waited upwards of 5 minutes into their allotted session. Again, most of the staff were kind enough but the pool has most definitely gone down in opinion. Will most likely be looking at one of the privately owned pools next time. Shame as I've grown up coming here and always liked it. The only positive was that the kids liked the inflatable obstacle course.
