Gym is decent, sauna is tiny and often below 60Β°C past 8PM

This review is based on the service I received from Dee when reinstating my gym membership. She was helpful, friendly and polite. A perfect example of how service should be. Thank you, Dee. I'd probably give the centre 4 stars overall. Its pretty good and the gym is the best equipped and value for money in the town. My only criticisms would be, the lack of staff to enable the flume to open during family fun sessions, the cleanliness, which has gone downhill slightly sine MORE took over, and the unhealthy snack options. If you really care about peoples health ditch the junk food machines. There are plenty of healthy options available nowadays.

Facilities great for our family swim. Unfortunately the young lady at reception PM on Sunday 31st was more interested in her mobile phone than giving good customer service

Not bad, but needs work. Poor WiFi in the gym, compounded by Technogym equipment so old it's not on the poorly designed new Technogym app, so you can't track your exercise. Wonky electronic turnstiles and doors that malfunction, grim toilets that need bleach. Static cycles not connected to TV service. A bit institutional which is sad for a commercial business in a fantastic location. And none of the multitude of youthful staff can fix anything, or even report it effectively. UPDATE - a year later (Aug 25) - we have new management and a new app. The remainder of the problems mostly still persist, with the added flavour of blocked main sewers twice already. Treadmills lose connection to app; changing room basins are rimmed with mould and the toilet seats are loose enough to be dangerous. None of this is beyond the wit of man to fix - star screwdriver and bleach would help the toilets immensely, and a wifi extender would be a great start at joining this century..

Our 8 year old granddaughter was taught by an fantastic swimming instructor (Oliver) today. It was amazing how quickly she progressed - which gave her the confidence she needed Highly recommended!!

Water cold as ....... . If you want to do winter swiming you dont need to look for open water , come to Swan Pool. I went with kids and we had to leave after 20 min it was so cold.

Water is a lovely temperature, not too cold. Nice facilities, clean and well organised (although we did go at 7:30!)

Gym facilities OK but very limited. Erin the lady who works in sales is extremely rude and condescending and does not speak to PAYING members with any form of respect whatsoever. In all fairness, I have had positive experiences with some of the staff and the gym facilities do allow for you to get a workout in, however these are very limited and the broken equipment is often not repaired for months on end. Further to this, the gym has no kettlebells and any that are around are hidden away by the PTs so they can make use of this, whilst members are given the impression that none are present. Do not buy a membership at this gym unless you want to be talked down to by staff when they are clearly stressed about their own personal issues. It is not professional conduct to let this out on members nor walk out on a member whilst they are talking to you to lodge a complaint.

We just called to book a time slot to go swimming. We have three children, 9, 5 and a baby. We have just called to book the two pools and been told that they are at different times and we have to split up as a family to go there. How crazy is that! We are a family and want to spend the day together not be put in different pools at different times! I’m sure the only thing not to change back from covid times are the pools! We definitely won’t be going there and I’m sure there’s lots of other people who feel the same!

Bit annoyed. Booked for the morning 45 minute session for me and my little boy. Not being a regular we quickly found out that there's now a "main" pool and a "leisure" pool (less than a metre deep). Not knowing this we went straight to the bigger pool to have some fun. We were dealt with pretty rudely by a jobsworth member of staff and asked to leave the main pool as we were only allowed in the tiny leisure pool. I spoke with a member of staff who was refreshingly honest: that segregating the pools was a post covid decision for the business to recoup some of their losses. Owning a business myself I think this is poor form. It looks to me like they've borrowed a ton of money to stay afloat (excuse the pun) and now they're looking for ways to increase the cost of having access to has always been one swimming pool. Book carefully. Otherwise it's OK in the morning, bit grim by the afternoon with all the used wristbands laying around on the floor. I'm so annoyed.
