“I am brand new at Village. Bailey offered me a free 12 week program and wow has he got me motivated. He is very knowledgeable on diet aswel as exercise and even suggested some alternative snacks for me, as I am terrible snacker. I think he is just amazing, enthusiastic, professional and a wonderful motivator. He even convinced me to attend his boxercise class. I couldn't believe I loved it. I think Bailey is a super trainer and he has a lovely friendly manner. He has made me feel uninhibited to do and try everything at Village. I cannot thank him enough.”
“All the staff on reception are super friendly, helpful & accommodating! Always happy and positive. Lorna always remembers me by name when I come in which make it feel so much more personal. My PT Ben is awesome and I’m already seeing amazing benefits in how I feel look, weight loss and strength. Absolutely loving the classes, especially ones with Kelly Purdy, Gemma Barlow, Tegan Bennet & Janice Hudson! All great instructors”
“I recently discovered the Nuffield Health Centre in Hull and was amazed that such a great facility was right here. The gym is well equipped, the swimming pool is clean and perfect for both exercise and relaxation, and the tennis courts are a brilliant bonus. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I honestly didn’t know this place existed in Hull – it really feels like a hidden gem for health and fitness. Highly recommended!”
“Recently joined as a member, all staff are so friendly and genuinely happy to help. Billy gave a fantastic induction to the facilities and answered any questions I had. Looking forward to continuing my fitness journey here”
“Our experience with KUHSC club has been exceptional. The coaches are not only highly skilled but also incredibly supportive and patient, creating a nurturing environment for swimmers of all levels. Adele has made remarkable progress in her swimming techniques and has grown in confidence, thanks to the personalized attention she receives. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the schedule is accommodating for busy families. The club also fosters a sense of community, with regular events and activities that make swimming both fun and competitive. We are grateful for the positive impact this club has had on Adele's swimming journey and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch swimming program.”
“Had a fantastic time here, decent slides to go on too”
“Free and fun. A child friendly place next to the toilet block and beach shop. A carved water feature is the centrepiece of this easily accessible paddling pool. The pool has a long sloping entrance and exit. The "deep" end is about knee high on most adults. The area around the water is made of well maintained wooden decking. There are a few areas to sit around the pool.”
“Fantastic facilities that have saved the public purse 5 million in 4 years.”
“Absolutely love this place. One of my dogs can never be off the lead due to other dogs .so this place is a safe haven for us and a god send . Its safe and secure, so we can let the fur babies run around and be free and at the same time a stress free walk for us grown ups.”
“Been to the dog field for the first time tonight. WOW what an experience my dog and my sisters dog both loved it and it was lovely to see them running around. Such a clean and tidy environment, also ever so secure made us feel safe as well as knowing no other dogs or people could come at the same time. It was an amazing set up from arriving and leaving, the idea is fantastic! Loved that the area was huge as well as the obstacle course for the dogs, also has a lovely picnic area which we will use next time! Already arranging to come back again!”
“This was the first time we had used this field it was a great experience. The owners have thought of everything from the play park and the water pool for the dogs. The wooded area is nice and shaded for all and is a nice walk with all the little added touches. There is even a firstaid kit.”
“Absolutely love this place, I have a dog that is extremely reactive to others. This gives me a safe place to let him off the lead. The fields are all a good size. My wife and I walk opposite ways allowing our dogs to run between us "getting their steps in" a little more than some fields in price, I personally think warranted due to the much bigger fields,Cleanness, boot scrappers and wash. All own parking for fields and good simple rules for all”
“Great fields. Perfect for our 4 mth old puppy to run around with our 5 year old dog, off the lead. Would highly recommend. Easy to book, easy to use.”
“We visited today for the first time and I expect it won't be our last. My boy had a great time running around Sam's shed with my kids, it was his first time without a lead and everyone enjoyed themselves”
“What a lovely time spent at Burnby Hall Gardens. Loved every part of my time there. Amazing gardens, not one better than another, very peaceful and colourful. We'll done team. The fish stole it for me,there's so many, could eat for England. Would definitely recommend you go for a visit.”
“Lovely quiet place to enjoy your surroundings. Dogs not allowed on this part of the beach.”
“Just a great place for nature lovers in general, birders in particular. If you just want a quiet walk then it is ideal as well. People using it all seem respectful of the area and wildlife. Ample parking and there is the fantastic Butty Bus. Brilliant owner and staff, the food and drinks are top notch and well priced. Even on a rainy day there are a number of well maintained hides and a covered picnic area. I've seen it developed over the years and it's a real hidden gem. Perfect for individuals, families or even larger groups. Dogs are ok on the main thoroughfare but not around the lakes for obvious reasons.”
“What a great asset to Hull-and it’s free! I hadn’t been to East Park for many years but I visited this week and it was lovely! First of all it is huge, with water features, endless paths to explore, a fab animal centre, a splash boat, children’s facilities and lots more… It’s great for people of all ages and particularly popular with dog walkers and runners. As it is traffic free there are also great routes for cyclists and very safe for supervised children learning to ride. If you love being outside in nature it’s definitely the place to be: so many squirrels, birds of all descriptions including swans and geese ( and the emu in the animal centre ) and so many trees high are glorious in their Autumn shades just now. There are plenty of maps around the site to help you to navigate and several entrances to the park. Toilets are in the Pavilion/East Park Library and also in the Education Centre. It’s very easy to access using the buses which run frequently from the city centre along Holderness Road.”
“Lovely place to visit, plenty of wildlife to see, particularly enjoyed the nature walk, along with the foxgloves and many robins and sculptures through that part.”
“My son loves walking round the dock and looking at the boats etc. lovely atmosphere”
“We love this place. There's a normal large rectangular pool which gets deeper at one end in the usual way. Then there's a more shallow pool for children at one depth. Then there's a very shallow play area with tipping buckets, water squirters and a small tube slide, it also has seats under the water with bubble jets. Then there's two bigger tube slides accessible up a spiral staircase. It's really great, perfect for families. Make sure to book tickets though because it can get full.”
“A great quiet park to enjoy a nice stroll with your dog, partner, family or friends. If it’s a nice hot day why not take advantage of the ice cream parlour on the grounds of the park. A gym is located within the grounds, you could even be tempted to join in on the Saturday park run if you’re a fitness guru.”
“Great for lovely walk with the dogs or kids. It has a lovely lake, restaurant, sandpit with a small paddling pool.”
“Awesome park lots of benches to rest and admire the views, cycle path. A lake that allows fishing.A great place for dogs on & off the lead”
“Beautifully kept park, the parkrun is really friendly and welcoming”
“Free car park from Hull side. Clean and a lot parking space. Beautiful views. It's worth every step i make walking there!”
“Excellent site. Now on of my favourite places to visit. So much to see, and so well managed.”
“Very secure place to let your dog/dogs have a good run about. Really reasonably priced.”
“What a fantastic place to exercise your dog. This field is so well maintained, one of the best I have ever come across, the owner obviously takes pride in her field, I quite often see her down there filling the holes that other dogs have chosen to dig. I particularly like this field because it is only me and my dog, no other dogs in the field next door to wind him up, which when you have a reactive dog like mine is fantastic. We will definitely be back and recommend to others.”
