   I came here for the Tulip Festival 2025, when the gardens were bathed in gentle sunshine and the air carried a soft, easy warmth. The grounds stretch wide and open, inviting both rest and wandering, with a playground where children’s laughter drifts like music. Quaint cafés and charming restaurants sit clean and welcoming, while a little ice cream shop sweetens the day with delight. And should you wish for a touch of whimsy, buy a small bag of fish food — the simple joy it brings is nothing short of enchanting. Highly recommended!

   Beautiful place to visit. My daughter absolutely loved feeding the fish, playing on the playground and wondering around the gardens. Very well looked after. The cafe was lovely, had lunch there and a cake. The staff were great, but some looked a bit lost, not too sure if that was because there were too many on or because they were new. The food was great

   What a lovely time spent at Burnby Hall Gardens. Loved every part of my time there. Amazing gardens,not one better than another,very peaceful and colourful. We'll done team. The fish stole it for me,there's so many,could eat for England. Would definitely recommend you go for a visit.

   Beautiful gardens, the rockery area and the lake are amazing. All the Lillie's where flowering all different colours. There was entertainment for kids and families. Small play area for under 12s. Lovely cafe and gift shop. All the staff where great and the place was so clean and well kept. Highly recommend!

   Immensely enjoyable gardens to walk around, the best I’ve ever seen. Most of it is a flat walk around a couple of lakes and off shoot gardens that has a small aviary flower garden and rockery before you get to a smaller second lake that has a picturesque bridge to walk to the other side to carry on your walk back to the main entrance. It has a nice sit in or out cafe along with a play area for children. I can highly recommend this place and the highlight is feeding the fish which follow you around the lake ( small bags of feed are £1.50 a bag (£8.50 to get in for a adult as of today)but as it’s a trust it’s worth getting to have fun feeding the estimated 1000 fish that live here. It also has around 100 different types of lily dotted around the lake to make this place a must visit addition if you’re around the Pocklington area .

   I thought £7.50 for an adult ticket for a garden was steep but instantly changed my mind upon entry. This is a lovely day out for anyone. A really nice place to find some tranquility and headspace. The whole place clearly is very well kept and no doubt takes a lot of work to maintain. The fish are frenzied and entertaining to feed! I really like it here. The museum is small but informative, not to be skipped.

   Beautiful gardens with many different areas to explore. The children really enjoyed feeding the fish who were in a frenzy and nearly throwing themselves into the bank! The cafe was pleasant but there were a lot of wasps when we went. It might help to move the sugar from the outside tables and move the bins further away from the diners. All in all, a very nice visit for all the family and we will return.

   Great place, really peaceful and beautiful. Really enjoyed our visit and feeding the fish. Needs a better/bigger car park, the existing one is too narrow. My uncles car got reversed into yesterday in the car park, just an unfortunate accident yes but the car park is too small for peak times.

   The kids loved the ice cream but more importantly they loved feeding the fish. They literally jump out of the water to get fed and my kids loved it. The play area was a great break for the adults and the walks were great for inquisitive minds. Great fun in the sun.

   A great day out for the whole family. Good value for money. Beautiful lake & koi fish for children to feed & enjoy. There are clean toilet facilities, lovely cafe with outdoor seating & good food. A tasty ice cream stall & a play area for children. There is ample car parking. A place to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, gorgeous flower beds, a rockery garden. A nature lover’s paradise of sheer tranquility with a staggering number of stunning plants. A small lake with the beauty of lily pads great place for artists to try their hand. Really fascinating & relaxing to spend a few hours here. There are many benches & seats for picnic with the kids. The purple iris swaying in the breeze in front of the lake is a sight to behold!! Clean. Exceptionale surroundings. A must visit 10/10 ❤️❤️
