Great facilities, but completely undermined by chaotic systems. I’ve been a member for years and consistently face problems with bookings, payments, and general admin. The staff are unable to resolve anything beyond surface-level issues, and you’re always told to email—only to be met with silence. It’s a frustrating cycle that never improves.
Really one of the very good David Lloyds I've been to! Staff are very friendly and the showers and changing room is very airy and clean. Good little gem! The place is very good
I have been coming to this gym for almost 2 months, now. The place itself is pretty good. Good amount of equipment, the spa area is alright, indoors and outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, and again, indoor and outdoor sauna. The indoor tennis courts could do with better ventilation because they are boiling with a bit of hot weather, and it becomes really uncomfortable. There is a nice steam room indoors as well. In terms of facilities, it's alright for the price, but it's not the best I have seen, but they have plans to build more and upgrade. The strongest thing this place has is the staff that works there, but this is also the weakest point; people like Lindsey from reception, who always has a smile in her face and makes you feel good and seen, even after the hardest day. People like Jasmine, from sales, that goes above and beyond and are able to fix problems that no one else was and are always there for anything you need. Even people like Louis, the PT that help you push your limits and become better (but never tell him you dont want to work something, because he will make you work it, and for me it was legs). However, because they are so good, this brings me to the worst bit of this gym, which is the disparity between staff and how bad the other staff are, which is noted much more when you have a few that are so good. I'm not going to name shame because that's nasty, but the other staff is just cold, unhelpful, and not very nice really, especially considering what we pay for. Lastly, the cleaning. Those toilets are always, but always disgusting. The cleaning of the toilets seriously needs to improve.
I’ve been a member of David Lloyd for a while now, and overall, it’s been a fantastic experience. The facilities are generally in great condition—everything is well maintained and always clean, which makes a big difference when you’re using them regularly. One of my favourite parts of the gym is the spa area and the pool. Whether you’re unwinding after a workout or just there for a relaxing day, both offer a calm, well-kept environment that feels like a real escape. But the real hidden gem of David Lloyd has to be the restaurant area. The food is consistently good—fresh, tasty, and with plenty of healthy options. But what really sets it apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always make you feel welcome. I want to give a special shout out to Eileen. She always greets you with a warm smile and goes above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. Her attention to detail and genuine care for members truly stands out. It’s people like her that make this place feel more like a community than just a gym. Highly recommend!
We have been members for almost 2 years and I can only say good things for those who want to join. Great staff, facilities, plenty of activities for the small ones and adults. Would like to call out Tamsin (swim instrutor) as one of the best people I’ve had the pleasure to liaise with! Keep it up DL TEAM
Great facilities. Great for tennis. Lovely outdoor spa area built facing the sunset. Heated outdoor pool. Qualified PTs who go above board to help. Really nice vibe in the Cafe-Lounge area. Thumbs up from me.
The family changing rooms are always FREEZING. Baby pool wasn’t much warmer than the main pool…food takes forever to arrive and it overpriced. Starting to get annoyed with being a paying member (not cheap, but I pay it) and the services are below par
I've been a member here for a fair few years now. It's expensive but the facilities are nice and the staff are friendly. They started closing earlier (10pm which used to be 11pm) when they reopened after lockdown and are showing no signs of reverting to the later close) which means I now can't use it as much as I used to, but I'm aware that some of their clubs close MUCH earlier so it could be worse. Some others of these clubs feel unfriendly and a bit like the guests are just troublesome, but I've never felt that at Warrington
The facilities here are lovely but the customer service and money saving measures put in place are really ruining this gym. As a platinum member you get a guess pass each month but your guest is not allowed a towel to save costs. Reception staff are rude and unhelpful and have clearly been given instruction to charge as much as possible. We are often challenged and questioned on our membership level when we ask for a towel ourselves! The restaurant service is slow and my partner has a diary allergy, on more than one occasion he has ordered an oat milk coffee and been given ordinary milk. Would not recommend unless serious measures are put in place to improve. I will be moving to the village gym at the earliest opportunity.
First month here and this club is a thumbs up for me and my partner. Lots of space for racquet sports, multiple saunas and hot tubs for busy periods and and outdoor space for three seasons of the year. The club lounge is comfortable and the food and drink is tasty with a good variety. The negatives for us are more about certain types of people which the club can’t help. If you use the gym, pool or play racquet sports often then the monthly fee is value for money.
