I’m deeply disappointed with the service I received at SVR Pharmacy. I paid for medication based on a private prescription, only to be told the following day that the prescription was invalid — leaving me without essential medication needed for my recovery. What made the experience worse was the conduct of the staff. One of the assistants, of the Pharmacist , raised his voice and placed blame on the issuer of the prescription, rather than handling the situation calmly and professionally. The tone was abrupt and dismissive, and I felt unsupported at a time when patient care should be paramount. A calm and assured bedside manner is vital in any healthcare setting, especially when dealing with vulnerable individuals. Sadly, that was lacking here. I would urge SVR Pharmacy to reflect on how they communicate with patients and ensure that respect and empathy are at the heart of their service.

I’ve visited S V R Pharmacy several times, and each time has been a great experience. The pharmacy environment is simple, clean, and comfortable. My prescriptions are usually sent by my GP in advance, and the medication is always ready without delay. The staff are polite, professional, and very efficient. Even when I called by phone, they responded patiently and helpfully. I truly appreciate their reliable and respectful service.

Husband went to get my prescription. Didn't realise I pre paid. Went back 20 mins later and was told to go back on Monday for a refund. Goes back a week later and was told to go back to my GP as its not a repeat medicine. That has nothing to do with a pre payment certificate! So I would avoid if you are older, vulnerable or have someone else help you get medication. Predatory service very unhappy and not good. Disappointing.

Today I had a horrible experience in this pharmacy where the pharmacist tried to gaslight me and make an issue they caused my fault. I had a prescription from the GP which I was only given half the amount for due to stock issues, I was told to call back in a few days to see if there is more stock so the other half can be given to me and if not, for the GP to split the creams I needed so that it can be dispensed. This is after the fact that I had already paid for my prescription and wasn't told that if they had no restock, I would have to pay yet again for another prescription. When I had gone in to pick up the remaining creams, I was charged again and when I tried to explain myself, two of the male staff members spoke to me in a patronising tone and completely lacked any empathy or understanding as it was "my fault" for not asking about this before they had already dispensed the first prescription..... somehow it is the duty of the customer to know the practice of stock running out. Unfortunately I will no longer be using their services, rude, unprofessional and hold no empathy.

Really disappointing, with the new mandate for pharmacies to see patients for minor illnesses, My daughter of 16 is not well with bad cough and sore throat, I contacted SVR and they said I need a referral from my GP, which my GP told me they don't. But anyway after 4 hours on the phone I got a referral sent to them and instead of them seeing me that day they asked if I can bring her in just after 12:30, when I arrived there they said the pharmacist is busy can I come back at 2:45, which is ridiculous and very unprofessional. I would not use this pharmacy for anything even if I was on my death bed. I will not support SVR in anything as they don't deserve to trade and help sick people.

I notice there are mixed reviews, however, when I was in need of urgent medication SVR Chemist gave me good advice; I then phoned the hospital who are treating me and they responded immediately. I should have been on certain medication already but someone along the line failed me and the chemist cannot step in at that point so they gave me good advice. Within the hour SVR was at my door, with a smile, delivering the much-needed medication. Thank you.

Popped in to pick up some lateral flow test kits. Was quite shocked and surprised to see the staff NOT wearing masks. The staff at the back were, but the two,(what looked like owners) were not. Considering the recent announcements and the new variant, surely they of all people should be setting a good example. Very poor.

*EDITED* I've had a call this morning from the permanent pharmacist sincerely apologising and has sorted out my prescription. Thank you, much appreciated. Have been using this pharmacy for a number of years now, even before the refurbishment and have never had any issues, however today was a completely different story. I ordered a repeat prescription on Thursday last week and was told it would be ready on Monday or Tuesday. So I went at the end of the day today (Tuesday) and was told that it didn't go through and had to order it again. In the meantime I went to my GP along the road and they said this has happened at SVR 6 or 7 times this week and they would do me an emergency one ready for tomorrow and suggested that SVR perhaps lend me some pills until they came in. I went back to the pharmacy and not only did they not apologise for not putting the prescription through, an older women pharmacist whom I've never seen before, refused to loan me any because I didn't have a continuous 6 months prescription because I changed my address due to Covid in 2020. I think it was completely unnecessary and could have helped me out after their mistake. There was absolutely zero customer service and made me feel like they didn't care in the slightest. Really disappointed with them and sad at their lack of compassion.

I've been using this pharmacy for over 10 years and the service has gone down significantly. The 2 stars are for the owner/pharmacist, who is very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the staff have a very bad attitude: rude, unhelpful and uncaring. I've had numerous mistakes with my medication, my repeat prescription medication late, the items not ordered in time, and incomplete prescriptions; but the worse issue is the staff's attitude. I complained about the staff's rudeness and sloppiness to the owner, but I've seen no improvements. I finally had to change to a better parmacy! If the management doesn't start training their staff and changing their appalling attitude they will lose all their customers!

I have been using this pharmacy for years and the pharmacist and staff are the best I have ever come across. They are most helpful and have sorted out errors in prescriptions. They are always prepared to offer good advice. They also provide an excellent repeat prescription service. Like the last reviewer, I also had problems with prescriptions from my surgery, but SVR are very efficient. I personally do not think branding issues are the fault of the pharmacy. Keep up the good work.
