   I had a very disappointing experience at this B&M store in Musselburgh. I was browsing the book section and initially picked up four books but decided not to purchase them right away as I wanted to return with my daughter to let her choose. Suddenly, a staff member approached me and questioned me repeatedly about the books, despite my explanation that they were at the till. I felt accused and uncomfortable, as if I had done something wrong. When I brought this to the attention of the till manager, he simply said he couldn’t speak to her as he was serving other customers. This lack of accountability and dismissiveness was disheartening. As someone visiting from abroad (India), I was genuinely shocked and disappointed by the way I was treated. I expect better professionalism and courtesy from customer service, especially in a reputed retail chain like B&M. I hope the store management takes this seriously and ensures better treatment for all customers, regardless of where they come from.

   Just had a terrible experience at this store. The manager is an angry man, keen on abusing his powers to prove that B and M musselburgh is his little kingdom. I will be steering clear of this store from now on.

   I've had some great bargains from here and the staff are always ready to help. Chatty and friendly too. Too many shops want it through at speed and have little time or interest in the customer. Speeding through a checkout is not customer care. We used to matter!
