   First, the women’s locker room constantly has an unpleasant smell. In addition, the shower doors have visible white mineral stains on the inside, which makes the area look unclean and poorly maintained. Second, there are serious problems with the jacuzzi area. There are three seating sections where members can sit and activate the water jets. However, only one seat works properly, with water pressure coming from the lower back and leg areas. The other seats are incomplete, and most of the water jet holes do not work at all. Even worse, one of the three seats has a completely non-functioning button, so it cannot be used at all. This often results in frustration, especially when I come to the gym tired and find that the only working seat is already occupied. Considering the high membership fee, this is not an acceptable situation. Finally, the plastic tiles around the jacuzzi area are extremely dirty, with visible yellow stains and heavy buildup. This is particularly concerning because we place our heads and shoulders against these surfaces. I have noticed this issue for nearly a year, and it appears that this area has never been properly cleaned. I kindly ask that these issues be taken seriously and addressed as soon as possible. Improving cleanliness and ensuring that all facilities function properly would greatly enhance the experience for members.

   DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS GYM. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE REVIEW. Signed up for swimming lessons at Total Fitness Aintree. The lessons themselves are decent with small classes usually and they can focus on what the kids need to do more. Unfortunately the reason for the one star review is the cancellation process. We informed the staff on duty that we were cancelling our plans and they took the details and reason for leaving etc. I checked a couple of weeks later as I hadn't had any confirmation email or anything like that only to find that the member of staff had failed to cancel the plan, which meant that we were locked in for another month. I would not recommend this company whatsoever and while I was going to join their gym, there's no chance of that now. Essentially, they did not do their job and claimed to have no record of any cancellation. It's a shame as the lessons there are not bad at all and the kids got along well with the swimming staff. If someone from Total Fitness wants to reach out and get this sorted then I'm willing to amend the review but to be honest I do not think they care either way.

   Standards never been the greatest have improved gym floor but always the poor relations of the total fitness group The positive is most of the girls on counter are great Natalie summer Nadine and jacque Can’t fault them Don’t think I’ll be renewing my membership have found far superior gym at volt that works for me

   Worst gym I’ve been to in a while. terrible hygiene, extortionate prices for food and membership for the quality you receive and terrible customer service. If 0 stars was an option I’d use it If your looking for a better quality gym in the area the pure gym and everlast down the road are 10x better. More friendly, better value for money and well better customer service. Don’t even waste your time going on the day pass it’s not worth the effort.

   I give 2 stars just because I can’t remove my account, these gyms do love to keep your account open forever. The gym is fine. The hot facilities are very good but the lights never work, though I’ve been there for a month. The Whirpool is one of a kind for this price, excellent. Better lights in the gym would be great, it would add some vibe, it needs some plants and shut that damn music, I don’t know who likes to hear high volume music that you obviously don’t like. It wasn’t super inviting but the potential is right there.

   Terrible gym, Sauna always broke, pool is filthy and always has swimming lessons in the main pool at prime times, the hydropool is also filthy and the jets are shocking. The machines are so old and all the pins are missing you have to walk round for ages to find a pin to use the machines. The weights are poor too not enough of them. Paid for a year up front will not be renewing. Going back to everlast or pure gym much better gym!

   £50 a month and for that you get staff who are rude and idle, a swimming pool which you can never use because it's full of kids (Even though there's a separate pool for them) or closed because there's too much chlorine in the water (and when you happen to actually get a chance to use it it's filthy), pin machines that have no pin in them so you can't use them, hardly any weights, and when you finally get the weight there's no benches to use it on because there's only 4. Really bad gym for the price, I've signed up with Puregym which is only down the road, has far more equipment and is a fraction of the price. Absolute scam

   Not really good at all, not good for a quiet swim as it’s usually like a leisure pool with kids. Gym is poorly equipped and only 1 of most things. 4 dumbbell benches for a large gym is awful.

   Did my personal trainer course at the gym for 4 days. Unfortunately the equipment is not only outdated but broken and dangerous for their clients. Men changing rooms are not clean and in some parts the water is leaking and that's another high risk of accidents. All over the place the carpet is in very poor condition as the walls too. However, if you don't have other choices you might find yourself trapped in this outdated gym.
