It was a quick in-and-out stop for us. We were coming from Rosslyn Chapel and waiting for our bus back to Edinburgh. We ordered a coffee and a bun with butter and jam. Since it was around Halloween, the place was nicely decorated. It was early in the morning, so it wasnβt busy at all. Fun fact about this spot: Youβll notice a sheep logo on the buildingβs exterior β the place is named after Dolly the sheep, the famous cloned sheep created in 1996 at the nearby Roslin Institute. She was named after a certain well-endowed country singer!

Unexpectedly, this was hands down the best sandwich we had on our 2 week trip! Ham and Cheese Ciabatta. The bread was perfectly fresh and the cheese was the right amount and had great stretch to it. Delicious!

Visited Dolly's Tea Room every opportunity we have when we come to Rolsin. The staff are amazing and always so welcoming and friendly. They definitely do best the coffee for miles. They have such a great menu, whether we stopped off just for a coffee and slice of cake or had a full breakfast or lunch. The kids love the milkshakes especially the Halloween themed ones. They are super dog friendly and always make a fuss of our dog when we visit. They offer tasty dog cakes too.

Two cones and a coke Β£10 ... crazy even though its near the famous chapel def overpriced and run by kids. Young lad with beard and blonde girl with glasses very helpful and seemed to run the place. Girl with black mullet hair style who make coffees and ice creams needs to learn hygiene .. sneezed twice .. rubbed her nose and face and still didnt wash her hands .. i would not take the cones I ordered and changed them to tubs which took approx 20 mins to get. Prob a lovely place to eat but please teach staff about personal/food hygiene .. hate leaving negative reviews but on the day this is what happened.

We've lived in the area for Ξ± while Ξ± d have only just managed to get round to going to Dolly's. I'm disappointed it took this long as it is such Ξ± lovely little place. My husband and I came for afternoon tea and were not disappointed. The treats come on Ξ± non-traditional stand: it was almost like Ξ± display shelf, it looked cool. Everything was prepared well and the cakes were delicious. We even received 2 of their famous shakes in miniature form. There is Ξ± lot of food for 2 people so the staff brought us some takeaway boxes. The staff were very friendly and we were served quickly. The menu had breakfast and lunch options and they have a large selection of drinks on offer. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Took my nana for an afternoon tea for 3 at Dolly's Tea Room today for her birthday, and it was wonderful! Good selection of sandwiches, a massive scone each and a slice of Victoria sponge, chocolate cake and carrot cake each! And a lovely little milkshake to top it off. Got the best seat in the house right in the window. Everything was really tasty and the staff were super friendly, couldn't have been more helpful. Only slight niggling point is that you don't get free refills of tea (which is usual for an afternoon tea) so if you're wanting more tea or coffee you'll have to pay extra. Otherwise it was perfect, and we will definitely be back!

A very lovely place, quite close to Rosslyn Chapel if you are visiting. A great selection of loose leaf teas! We were also pleasantly surprised by vegan options both sweet and savoury (they had three kings of vegan cakes which is almost more than what is offered in a regular cafe in Edinburgh city centre!). Staff very helpful!
