   Dear All, I hope this message finds you well. I feel compelled to share a concerning experience I recently encountered at Williams Dispensing Chemist in Rainham, Essex, in the hopes of raising awareness and preventing others from facing similar situations. As a diabetic patient, I have been receiving medication from my GP in Rainham since 2014, primarily from Chansons Pharmacy on Upminster Road South. However, following my recent relocation to off Wennington Road in Rainham, I decided to switch to Williams Dispensing Chemist, which is closer to my new residence. Accordingly, I requested my GP to send my prescription there instead of Chansons Pharmacy. Regrettably, my experience with the pharmacist, a Chinese lady, at Williams Dispensing Chemist has been troubling. Last month, when my wife went to collect my medication, the pharmacist took her signature on the prescription but failed to provide my Metformin, essential for my diabetes management. Despite my concerns, she dismissed the issue, claiming I had already received it the previous month. Although I had spare medication at home and managed last month, I found her behavior deeply concerning. This month, when I went to collect my prescription, a similar scenario unfolded. The pharmacist once again took my signature on the prescription but refused to provide the Metformin, despite the prescription clearly indicating that 184 tablets should be provided. When I questioned her decision, she became confrontational and insisted she had the authority to withhold medication. Furthermore, when I requested my prescription back, she refused and even threatened to involve the police, ultimately calling them. Despite agreeing to wait for the police, they sided with the pharmacist's version of events, prompting me to leave. Subsequently, I conducted research and discovered alarming information suggesting that Metformin is being sold on the black market by certain pharmacists, possibly even exported abroad. While I cannot confirm the involvement of the pharmacist at Williams Dispensing Chemist in such illegal activities, I am deeply concerned. I urge everyone in Rainham, Essex, who visits Williams Dispensing Chemist on Wennington Road, to ensure they receive their accurate medication. If faced with a similar situation, I advise speaking to your GP and reporting any discrepancies. As a precaution, I have returned to obtaining my medication from Chansons Pharmacy for April 2024. However, I fear the pharmacist at Williams Dispensing Chemist may attempt to claim payment from the NHS for medication not provided, as she already has my signature.    Nice local Pharmacy. Convenient for local area. Friendly staff. It's walking distance for me and my local surgery can send prescriptions directly to this pharmacy. The pharmacist has changed recently (the previous one retired) and they are always willing to help diagnose minor illnesses
