   Today is not the first time I have experienced poor service in boots station lane Hornchurch. Totally ignored!!! 4 staff behind the counter 1 person waiting on a prescription and I stood there waiting to pay for my products. No communication no eye contact - absolutely nothing. After 6-7 minutes I was left with no other option but to leave however I’m sure the staff didn’t even notice, this is not that unusual in this store. I will be spending my money elsewhere in the future. The staff need training in customer service!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

   Review particularly for the elderly white woman (short hair) who requires comprehensive training in customer service. She saw me walk in but continued chatting to the other staff about the noisy washing machine and the property above. When she decided to serve me, instead of asking, How can I help you? She simply stood there and stared at me. As I was waiting for my medication, I watched; she was friendly to all non-Asian customers, but she was impolite and unkind to me (maybe because I was Asian). Her tone of voice and mannerism are selective; I clearly witnessed she chose who she wanted to be nice to, and she did so by the colour of one’s skin. This has happened before. I'll be formally making a complaint. The pharmacist and young male are very polite and welcoming; maybe the incompetent old lady needs to be trained by the other staff or simply just watch and learn.

   I used to use the main Boots in Hornchurch, my GP changed my prescription service to this branch in February 2022, I am so glad she did. The staff are always happy and polite as well as being helpful. They are an excellent team and it’s a joy to go and collect my prescriptions. Thank you to all the staff.
