   We took a big walk and found this cafe and thought we will come in to eat as it’s freezing cold outside and we are hungry looked at the menu at the door and saw the burger was £10 we thought that was a lot but it’s food and we need to eat as had nothing else that day we went to counter to order and the price was £14:95 for the same burger but charge more for a little bit of salad and sitting in we had to take away the food and sit in the cold not coming back with the prices that expensive for a little extra we never even asked for Update! The food was good but had to eat outside in the rain and freezing cold weather bc we couldn’t pay the extra to sit in we are both freezing and catching a cold with eating outside do not recommend

   We bring our dogs here offen for a doggy sausage and ice cream but this trip was going to be the last for Maddie our eldest dog who loves this place but sadly was booked in to be put to sleep (we wanted to take her to her favourite place beforehand) The staff were so kind and even brought out free ice cream for Maddie and ran after us to inform us they had returned the fee of the doggy sausage to my card which was such a lovely gesture which meant so much… In a weird (and wonderful) turn of events the vet who she was booked in to see noticed something different and the operation was cancelled and Maddie is back home! With us hopefully for many more months maybe even years who knows (shes 14) The staff’s gesture was so appreciated and I hope they see this message!

   Just had coffee and a nice panini.Opted to eat out as the weather is lovely and the is plenty of picnic table too.Lovely service from the young girl at the till and the other lady. Gluten free options available.Would come back

   Very good cafe in an excellent location with fantastic views, serving brilliant coffee but most unusually for a Country Park, the cafe is not dog friendly (apart from the outside seating area). I don't know whether it is the Visitor Centre or the cafe owner(s) who insist on no dogs being allowed indoors, but either way it is a weird situation. I dare say the cafe does well because of the location, and it is a good cafe, but they must be losing a huge amount of business. The cafe was very quiet when I was there this morning but there were scores of people in the park walking their dogs. Yesterday around the same time, we were at the nearby Muiravonside Country Park and the very dog friendly Wee Coffee Cabin there was almost filled to capacity. We might go back to the Hideaway Cafe on the odd day that it is warm & dry enough to sit outside, but such days can be few and far between in Scotland. Wake up and smell the coffee folks!

   Spent many mornings here when out on my bike sure it's expensive but I accepted that. Today I brought my daughter and her pal for breccy. Food arrived but one of the party doesn't eat butter .. I asked for a replacement roll as she couldn't eat it nor were we asked if we wanted butter. I WAS THEN CHARGED £1.20 EVEN THOUGH IT WAS HARDLY OUR FAULT. When I objected I was told things have gone up. The may well have but I would expect to be treated correctly regardless.... my 8 year old was shocked... its a few hours later and my daughter still cannot believe it ... she said would be nice to be asked rather than being forced... I am a kid and most of my friends hate butter do they not kbow kids are fussy?? She has since said her friend didn't eat her breakfast as the bacon tasted of butter!!!

   Lovely cafe with very friendly staff. Delicious food and coffee. Great options for people who are lactose intollerant and and have coeliac. They can be totally trusted. Strongly recommend this cafe.

   Forth Valley Scone Rangers paid another visit here on Jun 1st 22. I have to say that we haven’t eaten anything more substantial than a scone in the Hideaway, but that’s why we go there. These are the best scones in Central Scotland - baked on the premises, large, crisp exterior, light , fluffy interior - a wonderfully balanced scone, and, in our opinion, the best scones in East Central Scotland. Sadly, no cream, and therefore 9 out of 10 rather than full marks. I ought to remember to take my own. Well done Hideaway Cafe. Hats off to the baker.
