Told three days to get a replacement tyre in. Went to Farmers, they sorted it immediately. Wasn't impressed by one of the mechanics shouting to another driver who was worried about getting past my car 'not to worry about hitting it'. Two stars for at least looking at the puncture and recommending alternative shops that are up to the job.
Great experience at Halfords McConechy's in Haddington. I was in for an MOT and as a result needed two tyres which they fitted right after the MOT. One of the team even drove round to the other Halfords to get one of the tyres. Really excellent service - I hope I've got this name right but I think it was Derek who did my MOT and helped with the tyres - he deserves a special mention. All the guys were really great though. Used for the first time for a major service and MOT. Very pleased with the service and cost . It also took just a couple of hours. Front of house staff were welcoming and friendly. Will use again.
Pulled in with what we thought was a puncture. Garage said they had no tyres available. However they gave good advice on other garages and made sure tyre had enough air to get us there!
Booked a coolant flush and change in our old1988 Hymer Merc. Very easy booking and prompt service. Best of all, the guy who seemed to be in charge, Was such a decent, helpful and stand up fellow. Can't thank him enough. Would definitely come back for other work in the future based in this encounter. Really nice guy.
Good service but rude staff. I went a month ago to fix an issue with my exhaust. They told me that my car had some other technical issues that needed to be fixed but they weren't an emergency. I have called them a month later because I couldn't understand what they told me last time. I'm a immigrant that moved to Scotland just 3 years ago and I just don't have a good mechanical vocabulary. When I call them I still don't have a clue about what my car issues are so I ask them to just send me a copy or something written down. It's just easier for me to just translate it. They guy tells me that he can't send me anything, he just can tell me with words. Keep repeating the issues over the phone and surprise, I still don't understand them. He finally ends the conversation saying that he can't deal with my "broken English". Totally lack of sympathy by this member of the staff. I'm just working for the same country and I deserve some respect. A little effort by your side would be amazing, I don't have to deal with your discrimination.
