Had a great experience in the Paisley branch. I was looking for a chair with specific measurements. The male assistant on the 1st floor was so helpful . He gave me all the information I needed and measured bits of the chair not specified on line. I was also able to get some sewing items I needed, I had forgotten they had such a good selection.

Pleasant and clan store Plenty of stock for all house items Pleasant and helpful staff. Plenty of staff on site to help with questions and provide assistance. Parking is ample as in a retail park. There is a cafe upstairs and closes at 5pm. There is stairs and an accessible elevator in store.

A good enough store although my local Dunelm is going through some type of refit which isn't ideal for customers. Also, when n leaving the store (if you haven't purchased), you still need to walk through the checkouts rather than simply put the door

Will not come back here. I came to return a pair of curtains, I folded and packaged them as good as I can. It wasn’t perfect but it was definitely folded decently and as much as you could expect for a return. When I went to the till to return them, I was told by the cashier that they are not folded good enough to be returned and that I should “go to the folding table on the shop floor and fold them better”. I explained that I already folded them to the best I can do, so going and folding them again probably won’t be make any difference. However, she insisted I go there because otherwise they won’t take it back. So I went to the folding table and asked the shop assistant there if she could please help me fold the curtains, because they refused to take them back at the till. She was rather unfriendly and condescendingly said “normally I don’t do this but I will give you a hand”. I wonder what her job as a shop assistant is then if not assisting customers…. Anyway, she started folding them for a good 10 minutes and when she wanted to put them back into the plastic wrapping, she literally said “they will take them back out anyway”. After the 15 mins of messing around only for them to take them back out (her words) I went to back to the till, this time to another cashier. Upon handling the return process, she said “I heard your conversation with my colleague earlier, just next time make sure to bring them back in the condition they were in because the plastic packaging is ripped and normally we would have to take 10% off”. The plastic packaging was only open at the top, so that I can take the curtain out and I told her that “somehow I have to open them though”. However, she ignored this and kept going on about how they need to be in the condition they were in and how the plastic was ripped. At this point I gave up, because it seemed pointless to argue with them. I honestly felt like these people are out for it, just abusing the little power they have. Really appalling customer service and I won’t be back.

Great store. Very well laid out. Staff are very professional. Great help when I was choosing curtains. Only criticism is that the in store music is awful. Would have shopped a bit more if the music was better. It was quite off puting and a member of staff strongly agreed.

Good amount of lamps and good value. The only down side is prices of bulbs. In B & Q on the corner you can buy them half price so recommend to check it there.

The store in general - 5 stars. We sat in the cafe and had some nice food and coffee. They had obviously been quite busy and tables needed cleaning. A staff member took a tray and used crockery off of a table and then came back to wipe it. There were quite a lot of crumbs and torn ends from sugar packets still on the table. She wiped the whole lot straight off of the edge of the table onto the floor, then sprayed the table and cleaned it. Probably half the crumbs landed on one of the chairs on it's way down. Even the thought of sweeping the crumbs onto the dirty tray before she took it away just didn't occur to her. And then a few minutes later, another member of staff came out and did exactly the same again on another table. Dunelm: If you are hiring the kind of people who need training to clean a table, then, someone in management needs replacing. Crumbs and mess are inevitable in a cafe, I understand that. But to simply transfer the mess from the table onto the floor is a fabulous advert for cleanliness to anyone either sitting there watching, as we were, or to new customers walking on it. I simply cannot believe I needed to write this. What has happened to people?

AWFUL staff will never shop there again, the cashier that served me, I am calling HER that as she was no way a customer service host as it said on her badge, not helpful at all and very miserable. Two lamps the same, too different prices, she said a customer, right not a member of staff but, a customer must have stuck the low price sticker on this one so the price is wrong!!! I felt she was saying I had done it! will NEVER BE BACK, avoid this store as they have ZERO customer service - worst customer experience ever.
