Very Disappointing Birthday Brunch Experience – Would Not Recommend We booked a birthday brunch that was advertised as including 1 hour of unlimited punch and a proper Jamaican-style meal with jerk chicken, fried dumplings, plantain, coleslaw and more. What we actually received was nothing like what was promised. We got around 15 minutes of “unlimited punch”, which worked out to one small cup per person. The food was even worse — a plate full of rice with a few tiny shredded/chopped bits of chicken. Mine was mostly skin and bone, with a teaspoon of coleslaw and no dumplings or plantain. When I asked about the missing items, the staff looked confused and just said “the menu is subject to change.” It genuinely felt like one chicken leg had been divided between several plates. The bar prices were shocking too — £26 for two glasses of punch, made with the cheapest rum, and you can really taste it. We paid £39 per person, and that was with a 20% discount. The birthday girl paid even more for a “birthday package” that included a personalised show and cake. She did get a cake, but the “show” was literally just the DJ calling her name to come collect it. Definitely not what was advertised. Also, the so-called 1-hour unlimited punch is only from 12 to 1pm, so if you arrive later, you simply don’t get the hour — something never made clear when booking. At this point it shouldn’t even be called a brunch, more like an overpriced happy hour. The venue itself is rundown, cramped, with benches instead of proper tables, not very clean, and barely any room to move around. I’ve been to many brunches, often for much cheaper, and I have never experienced something this disappointing. Definitely would not return and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

We come Last week-end for jungle cake event. Old room, the bartender was unpleasant. The event was advertised as having two rooms. Only one was available because the other was booked for another event. There was no timetable posted and the toilets were dirty.

I worked with Brixton Jamm when organising the London show for Jords’ 6 Wings & Chips tour. The venue were a pleasure to deal with and the staff on the night made everything stress free. Highly recommend.

Incredibly friendly customer service, great advice for someone who has never run an event before. Lovely space and perfect for what we needed for our RCA end of year party. Definitely booking them again in future. 10/10 would recommend.

Great experience- had a lot of time to enjoy the evening and free roam of whatever we wanted to paint. Plus, we met some lovely new friends whilst there. My only other suggestion would be a couple people to hand to help as there seemed to be a few of us and only one tutor to hand. All in all, friendly staff and a great night!

Attended a show here. First class security and ID checks, all swift and very professional. Good, clean venue with good bar staff, reasonable pricing and food on offer. Recommended for small shows and events

Great night at the paint and vino, Rae was fantastic, good quality paints and canvases. Alcohol reasonable too. I would have liked the venue to specify this event would be held in a semi outdoor area and would have wrapped up better.

Good venue, went to see drag bingo. But out of the way from the main station but staff were nice so it made up for it. Only minus point was that the show had barely finished and the staff were packing the tables away and put the lights on. Felt a bit like we were kicked out.

Went for the Paint & Vino event and absolutely LOVED it! Was a little surprised that the ticket didn't come with wine, just the paint materials. 100% recommend and would do it again. Such a relaxing way to spend time with friends. Wouldn't recommend bringing your children. The artist was here to guide us through our individual paintings so it's not a "tutorial" as you're free to create whatever you'd like.
