   A proper garage!. Having just moved to Edinburgh was a bit nervous about entrusting my precious car to an unknown garage. Pleased to say I have discovered a proper, old skool garage, with skilled mechanics, professionalism, and a friendly, family atmosphere. Message to millennials looking for authenticity, strongly suggest you visit this garage and experience what a real garage is, places like this will not be around for much longer unfortunately as they retire, and get replaced by 'technicians' who don't know cars like these guys. Highly recommend.

   Brakesafe was recommended by a friend and I have been using them for several years. As well as annual servicing they’ve fixed wheel bearings, discs and pads, ABS, replaced heater motor, all for much less than dealer prices (I know - I’ve got quotes). A small, local garage you can trust.

   I took my car in just for a check-up, a week before a long trip, as the engine noise was getting worryingly loud. 4 hours later they called me, with the news that it had all sorts of things wrong with it (exhaust almost falling offer, converter almost dead, brake pad issues). I asked them to do what was necessary, and remarkable within just over 24 hours I got a call saying everything was fixed and I could pick up my car! This is a small garage, run by people who know cars inside out, and it shows.
