My partner bought a car from here, has been quite frankly issue after issue. Currently on the 4th repair job since buying the car in 8 months. Brought a few issues back and no receipt or proof given and after taking it elsewhere turns out the work they described wasn’t carried out.

Bought a car from this place also called shawfair car sales. Friendly but unreliable, didn't check any of our faults properly, nor did they check the brakes like they said they would. Car turned out (after we took to an auto electrician and a local mechanic) to have corroded wires and connectors which was setting off the abs and esp light, brake sliders were seized, glow plugs needed replaced, battery needed replaced. We paid £1700 for a car that was stated on advert to be excellent condition and have already spent about £500 in repairs and will need to spend more when we get it back into the auto electrician all because shawfair car sales (transport services) did not look into the issues I told them about properly. We still have the air flow sensor fault code coming up in the ecu saying there's an issue with the MAF sensor, which is what they also replaced. A local mechanic told us its aftermarket and probably not a genuine part, so now we have to investigate that part of the car too to find out what is causing that error code. We fixed the alternator charge signal fault and the glow plug fault ourselves. ABS fault will hopefully be fixed after the auto electrician books us In. They offered to pay for the wheel bearing part (£70 of the £278 bill our garage charged us for the wheel bearing and the unseizing of the pads) which we never recieved and I have been ignored whenever I ask if they checked the fault codes I told them about in OCTOBER. MOT mileage was about 3 thousand miles more than the actual mileage of the car when I purchased and I didn't realise this until a month ago when I went through the paperwork. So double check your MOT certs. They go by shawfair car sales which is a company that dissolved last march, but check your receipts because mine had the wrong date, time, and amount on it and said Transport Services not shawfair car sales which is what is on the written sale receipt for the vehicle.

My car failed mot and then the garage owner/mechanic claimed to have done work for it to pass mot but I suspect nothing was actually done. Paid over £400 cash and was given no invoice or receipt so no grounds for complaint as no proof of anything. Will never use or recommend again.

Car that i bought had a fault with ECU within 3 weeks of sale, rendering it undrivable, contacted garage and they said gaffer would call back but what a surprise, no call and phone just rings out. Avoid this place if you want customer service or a reliable car.

Traded my car in for a new one. Very prompt service and great customer relations. Serviced the new car within the hour and I drove it away. Love my new car. Asked to get something minor checked a day later and it was done immediately. Very happy customer.
