I was cheated by this guy who used his cunning. I took my car to his garage for repairs, and he suggested I claim insurance. He provided me with a salvage report and told me to bring my car because it was going to be scrapped. He assured me that my insurance company would pay me and that they would call me to discuss my car. I waited for three months, but I never received a call from them. Recently, I got a letter from the tax office, so I checked my car's MOT status. It turns out he did the MOT without my permission. When I called the garage to ask about my car, he claimed he spent a lot of money on it and even changed my car key without my consent. Now, he's demanding Β£3,500 from me. I definitely wouldn't recommend this guy. I'm also unsure about the condition of my car parts.

Always get your repair receipt. Do NOT recommend! Not very professional. Guy did great job, but believe I was overcharged and they also lied to me that they had no choice but replacing extra 2 bolts in my wishbone arm as apparently they were stuck. First of all I knew the bolts werenβt tough to get out as I got them out a day before with my fingers after loosening it and second of all when I went to check it after the repair there were still the same two old rusted bolts there. Keep the change guys to yourself.. Edit. After a year of driving the one of the bolts became loose. I was forced to change the whole wishbone arm mount as the threads were damaged.

Sketchy people with a very bad attitude, like they are making you a favour to take your money and deal with you. They replaced my fuel tank only for it to fail a couple days later and leave me stranded in the middle of the street. Refused to pay for vehicle recovery for something that was caused by their horrible workmanship. They patched their mistake (time will show) and returned my car filthy with an oily footprint on the driver's side carpet. Stay away! Two bonobos with sticks for tools will have a better chance at fixing your car, and will have better manners as well.

This garage is very rubbish, lyre people working, they don't know anything about car, ripping scaming innocent people, especially tony, saeed and john big money eaters. They broke my fuel injector and charge me Β£600. They are fake, big lyres and they are caring about costumer preference, only they are asking money. Never ever recommend to go here. No rating from my side

A decent reliable garage that does the job at a reasonable price. Not fancy, but neither is my car! I've used them for brake work and for an MOT. No complaints at all. Owner is always straight in his communication, polite and even cleaned my very dirty car before I picked it up! Think there must have been a change of hands - it's the only reason I can see for the previous reviews.

The mechanic told me he changed the 'pencil coil' as my car was misfiring. He knew I was on holiday and I was due to leave Edinburgh so he did something to make the car run only for a bit. I broke down in the middle of M6 on my way back to Birmingham. My 10-month old twins had the worst day of their lives... Nightmare! The mechanic from Ashbrook Motor Services did not change the part I paid Β£90 for, but instead, he sanded off the serial number of the old part so I couldn't complaint. Dirt remains visible and I very much doubt he ever unscrewed the faulty part. Never again.

I've been using Ashbrook for a couple of years. I was referred here by a previous partner who had her car serviced and repaired here for a few years. She said that she liked the garage, and had never felt ripped off when repairs needed done. I think this garage is an excellent and honest place. When I get my car repaired, even for the smallest thing, I always feel like the price is very reasonable. The garage owner is very pleasant, and honest. In the past I had a problem with a battery light on the dashboard. He checked the alternator and all associated mechanics and said he felt it was an electrical problem, he referred me to a motor electrician, and when I asked how much I owed him for checking the car out, he said it wouldn't cost anything. I've since had faulty sensors changed, services, etc... and feel comfortable referring my own mother to the garage. I normally don't post reviews, but I feel, since it took me such a long time to find a garage I felt comfortable with, it deserves the review.
