   Had problem with hanging exhaust just before Christmas. Fitted us in next day, even though it was the last day open before Christmas. 20 mins and was fixed. No charge. Repaying the excellent service by leaving this review. Have used them a number of times and always had excellent service.

   Overpriced and unprofessional. I found my van unlocked with the door open on the street the morning after I had it fixed here. I spoke to the rude manager Paul who didnt believe me and tried to accuse me of leaving it open. I had an MOT done here on another occasion and they tried to charge me over 2.5 times the amount I had it welded for elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this garage.

   Parking cars on street, allowing non licensed vendors to change tyres in road (LC67PXB) when asked about license, told "I get tickets, when parked, legally.. im just a tyre fitter"... it’s illegal to do this as a business!! Note also double parked over a pavement.. got the fingers from this old man, he was also slurring his words, NOTE I never said he was drunk!! (again your putting words into other peoples mouths).. swearing and threatening people.. is this acceptable for your business?? Forcing a camera in his face? you really need to step back here, I took a photo of the van that was parked not only on a pavement but also on a no parking white line, that was the only time I had a "camera”, and it was never in his face, yet more lies Please also note I never spoke to a female at any point, I was not abusive in any shape or form, I know how to speak to people, I politely asked to speak to the person in charge and you said that was yourself, also note it was you that hung up on me. This just proves the lies that come out of not only the garage but the owner himself. My issue is not just about the illegal tyre fitter double parking it’s also to do with Thompsons Motors, you think you own the street take up valuable parking spaces that residents need (not a garage), so my complaint is also to do with Thompsons Motors not just the illegal tyre fitter, this very morning you have several cars parked and preventing others from parking their cars at their residence. You also allow tow trugs to drop off cars in the middle of the night with their lights flashing and making a tremendous amount of noise and some even have their radios blasting… This has been going on for years. I was not aware the illegal tyre fitter was slurring his words until after he threatened and verbally abused me, (NOTE AGAIN NEVER SAID HE WAS DRUNK!) by which point he then drove off shouting and swearing at me and making various hand gestures. Why would I use your company when all you do is lie and defend illegal parking and stand up for bullies? I won’t even mention the overpriced repairs I wouldn’t concern yourself with me being stranded, I learned how to change a tyre when I was 16 – incidentally I am a fully qualified motor mechanic having got my City & Guilds many years ago and would never treat or talk to anyone in the way you have with your reply, you and your company are a disgrace!! EDITED IN RESPONSE TO THE BLATANT LIES AND FALSE ACCUSATIONS MADE BY THIS COMPANY. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE VAN IS NOT ONLY PARKED ON THE PAVEMENT BUT ALSO PARKED ON A NO PARKING AREA.. WHY THE COMPANY THING ITS LEGAL TO DO SO IS BEYOND ME. Yet again driver parks on double yellow lines.. blatant and constant offender... every time I see the van parked I will post an image to show this, the 2nd pic was Wednesday 24th and the 3rd pic was Thursday 25th September. Illegal parking again 15th October to which he gave me the finger, I have now reported his illegal parking and his harassment and threats to the police I suspect a LOT more images will appear over the coming weeks.

   I was disappointed with my experience at this workshop. I came in with a leaking fuel line, which is a serious safety issue, but unfortunately I was turned away without any assistance or clear guidance. I expected a more professional response to such a critical problem.

   Oh honestly stay away from here!! Paul is going to run Davies garage to the ground!!! Unbelievable. I needed a selector cable for my Punto… I gets a quote of 509 pounds!!!!! WTH!! It was left in Main Street for 2 days and didn’t contact me. Also left all my panel etc for gears thrown on floor and left it in 1st gear!!! So when I had it towed I had to sit in the car with foot on the clutch to get it on. …I know a bit about cars and can pick a cable up for 20 quid! Obviously thinking I’m a daft woman Paul? Wouldn’t come to the phone when I phoned either! I feel so bad for people taking their cars/ vans here like single parents like myself or elderly people who they are ripping off! I’m actually making a complaint now to trading standards as this is unbelievably shocking! Total robbery.

   Really helpful. Not patronising and no gaslighting - they tell you what's needed, how much for and don't charge you the small stuff (like an indicator bulb).
