   Prev. a long-time patient of Garth who was a great dentist. I've now had a appointments with Louisa and Kenny who are also very good. Esp. thanks to Kenny who saw me quickly when sensitivity came on suddenly. He was reassuring about possible causes and gave helpful tips to manage it.

   Friendly, professional and modern dental practice, set in an old Victorian building in Edinburgh city centre with pay and display parking at the door. I've had bad experiences in the past and am pretty scared of dentists, I'm always put at ease and am free to play very loud music through my ear buds (drills then sound better). My dentist even showed me hand signs she'd make for me to bite down, rinse etc so as not having to mess about with my phone. The most important part to me though is that it's always been totally pain free.

   I attended the practice recently for a check up. The whole team were friendly and professional despite being understaffed on the day. I was made to feel at ease during the appointment and all my options were explained thoroughly to me. Louisa and Lorraine were excellent, very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.

   Arrived today just before 12.45 for a check-up. Was advised that the dentist was running around 10 minutes late. After several checks and extending my parking I was seen after 35minutes. Dentist (who is new) failed to introduce herself and did offer a token apology for running late, as she’d had a complex appointment earlier. My check-up took 5 minutes and, as I am an NHS patient, I was then advised I could book another appointment in 12 months time. I have been a patient with this practice for 30+ years and have been extremely happy with their service until today. I suspect I will look elsewhere. I also feel that patients should have been advised in advance that their dentist was changing…

   I was a patient here but left shortly after my dentist retired. I Used to love coming here. It was a fun and welcoming practice; everyone was always happy and up for a bit of banter, and the staff were all cool. Not the same anymore. What was once a fun and welcoming environment has become cold and money-led. This practice was once a buzzing and fun environment pre-COVID. However, since some staff members left, this has changed, and the environment can only be described as cold & uninviting.

   Superb recent experience with the practice. Easy online system to use. Friendly team on every occasion. Had a check up and required a treatment, had the follow up appointment under 2 business days later with an excellent outcome. I recommend this practice highly.

   Absolutely disgusted with this dentist, my recently widowed disabled mum was 7 minutes late for an appointment today.. she spent £40 on taxis there and back.. and the dentist refused to take her as she got there at 9:07 instead of 9.. she was extremely apologetic. She loved this dentist, she is incredibly upset, I just think it’s really disgusting behaviour. Thanks for your response.. this is completely false.. the dentist refused to take her then and there.. he said it would put him behind with every single patient for the day.. so yes my review is in fact accurate.. she was refused her treatment today.. she was so shocked that she said she wouldn’t be returning as a patient again and he said ok that’s your choice..

   Samantha Murray is an excellent young dentist who is friendly and gives good advice on how to improve your dental hygiene. The surgery accepts NHS patients and seems to be able to arrange routine appointments a few days ahead.

   I have only been here twice but I won't be going back. I missed my appointment as my meeting ran very late. I called straight away after this but I was charged £35 for missing the appointment. I wouldn't be unhappy if this charge was communicated before but it wasn't. I booked my appointment again after that for a broken tooth I had. Even though the break was pretty large it was fixed by just a filling which has come out in a month and my tooth is now painful too. The only reason I am not giving this a lower rating is because people I dealt with were very polite and friendly.
