Probably the best coffee in the area. Also, the choice of pastries and bread is great. Very convenient location to pick something quickly up while driving to work in the morning. I really appreciate early opening hours.
Unfortunately very disappointed in our visit. We stood at the door, no greeting or nothing while the barista took 20minutes to make 2 takeaway coffees. Shame as we came to feast!!! Place just seemed slow and lazy, windows steamed up, crumbs on all the half cleaned tables. Staff eating their lunch on main tables, reporting that both chefs ‘are unwell’. Just as well, as we didn’t want to get sick too. Left swiftly after that. Bear in mind we had to 1) ask if they still served food 2) request menus 10minutes after being seated. We would have stayed but no1 approached us to take a food order. Maybe it’s till service who knows when you have zero communication. Everything just felt half arsed. I bet the owner wasn’t working that day that’s for sure. Poor show. I bet the coffee is good but don’t preach a fancy menu if you can’t deliver.
One of the best coffees i have had in a long time. The milk comes from a local farm and tastes divine. Great vibe and nice cosy interior. A clear favourite with locals.
Was excited to try out the salmon bagel but sadly didnt live up to the hype. was incredibly difficult to chew and took 20mins to make it!!! On top of that paid a whooping £11. Service was awkward aswell. style over substance was how I would describe the bagel
I loved the look of this specialty coffee shop when I found it online so was keen to try it out when I was in the area. I had a flat white and a sugar glazed donut to go. The coffee was spot on, really nice and well made using Colonna beans from what I saw. The donut was very fresh and sweet and melt in the mouth. I felt that the staff could have been friendlier despite what others have said. It struck me as a local spot as it's a bit off the beaten track. I'd definitely revisit. Recommended!
This coffeeshop is hands down the soundest, grooviest and tres-chique spot in Glasgow. Not only do they have the best Oat Milk / Flat White ever, they have super cool products and the atmosphere of the place is great, works with almost any vibe. Highly recommend the French Monkey folks!
Coffee is amazing, cakes are delicious and the bagels are incredible! Would also recommend the soup for takeaway as it’s such an easy WFH lunch option!
Tried this place after looking for speciality coffee in Glasgow. Had an oat flat white and an excellent pastry. Ended up coming back another day for brunch and would highly recommend to anyone looking for some great coffee, food and atmosphere!
Great new coffee addition to the southside. Love the fact they offer V60 pour over coffee which is quite rare these days (in the area) . They also sell fresh coffee beans and staff seems to be knowledgeable about coffee. Cute mugs and nice interior, I would add some plants tho. Will be back again to try some more coffees and treats!
Really nice independent cafe! I really enjoyed their matcha latte and salmon bagel. The staff were very nice as well.
