   I go here daily with my dogs. It can get busy with other dog walkers. Horses are ridden here . People ride bikes on here. Everyone shares the same path unless you go off into the grass areas where you can find little paths. This is a very big place if you’re willing to walk for hours. You can get to Pennington flash from here also. The only issues I find is that teenagers ride motorbikes and quad bikes which churn up the paths so if you use a walking aid or a wheelchair it can be difficult getting through the churned up paths.

   Absolutely love this place. Living close by we get to see the changes throughout the year. Also it's lovely to watch the geese growing up! Lots of wildlife if you get there at the right times. We've seen roe deer, barn owls, tawny owls, common kestrel, hobby birds, buzzards, foxes etc. Nice little hill with a bench to watch the sunset over Wigan! Lots more birds now visiting here. Recent additions I've seen are great crested Grebe, coots, cormorant, tufted ducks and even spotted a Mandarin Duck!

   Nice little nature reserve. Island in the middle that you cant get too. Good walk around the flash with lots of fishing points and free parking at the entrance. Theres a few picnic benches and some lovely views.
