Visited on Saturday 20th December for my 40th anniversary, just my wife, one daughter and I as rest of family all over world. Booked table for 6pm expecting a nice atmosphere in a nice gastropup, instead a screaming bedlam of mainly youngish males all trying to be louder than the next one. 1st time there and last, no pleasure, couldn’t get out soon enough.

This place is great the food is so good and the service is exceptional. Even when there is only one member of staff managing to do it all it's still fantastic

Amazing service and atmosphere. The new menu is fabulous and so delicious. It can’t be faulted at all. Really friendly staff and great prices

Not been here in a good 20 years, what a change. Was just a quick visit so can't comment on a lot of it but it was nice to see a busy local bar with a good mix of ages. Good atmosphere and looks like a decent drink and food selection. Will be back for more than a quick pint

A brief visit as wanted to see how successful the most recent refurbishment had been. Premises are bright and airy with plenty of well spaced seating inside and outside the pub. Venue also benefits from having a beer garden. Large screens for watching sporting events. Lovely pint of tennent's for under a fiver. Would have been a five, but the floor and table were a bit sticky. Wouldn't prevent me from returning to try the food.

Really good food (not everyday of the week) booking ahead advised.

Went in friends for a couple of drinks but because we didn't want food staff not interested we were in the bar but it was a shambles guys just shouting when asked if we could go into the lounge area nobody knew what was happening oh I don't know after getting a table we had to move 3 times as kept saying this table is reserved won't rush back

Asked about the 3 course special they had advertised on their website. Told very rudely that this had not been available for 3 years. Did not even apologise when they basically called us liars till we showed it on the website. Need lessons on customer service.

Friendly pub. Looks smart after recent refurbishment. Would recommend for good, hearty pub grub. The mixed pakora starter is excellent. I'd have liked to see more draft beer options, like an IPA or other ales.
