   The best restaurant in the south side of Glasgow, by a long stretch. The food is excellent, the service super friendly, the beer and wine good, and to top it all, it is really good value for money. The only slight drawback (sorry, have to mention it) is a very restricted dessert choice. If you’re lucky, it will be sticky toffee pudding (excellent) or ice cream. If you’re really unlucky - as we were on our first visit - there will be no dessert. But hey, who needs dessert, eh?

   Visited for lunch for the first time on Saturday and enjoyed it so much that I went back on Monday! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful on both occasions, the food was gorgeous (I'm still dreaming about the butter bean stew) and although it's fairly small you're definitely not crammed in. Extremely dog friendly too, and very reasonably priced.

   Lovely, cosy bar with a restaurant at the back. Good selection of local Glasgow beers. They do cocktails and fantastic food! The arancini balls were delicious and the chips are amazing. My husband said his beef stew was beautifully cooked and fell apart so easily. Really nice atmosphere, very casual, but lovely friendly service. Just off the main road, this is a great little pub!

   From the creators of Partick’s Sparkle Horse comes The Bell Jar. A minimalist interior and unfussy layout. Was a very quiet snowy evening on my visit so hard to judge the atmosphere but the menu looked good with quirky small plates and it feels a lot more premium than some of the other pubs nearby

   Nice little pub with a few nice bites and some local brews, oth on tap as well as bottled or canned. Found myself there on a quiet afternoon and thoroughly liked the place.

   My son has just moved into the area, and this is definitely a great find. Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff, delicious and well priced food . We had a vegan , a vegetarian and two meat eaters in our party and we were all well catered for. I like the small plate idea- we were able to order several and share . I'd definitely return for another meal or a drink. Also- spotlessly clean toilets!

   Great little pub, full of character. Decent tap selection as well (the Overtone Pink Cashmere IPA is excellent). Only slight negative is that I don't really like the food menu. The food I had tasted good, no complaints, but if I'm in a pub drinking I want to eat something hearty like a burger, not a selection of small plates. Seems an odd choice for a pub.

   Really lovely place, nice but not pretentious. Food was all really well cooked and both the haddock and lasagne were stand out dishes, will be back. Picpoul at a good price topped it off! Thank you!
