I needed a new engine in my car. No one near me could do it and I came across the engine room on Google. I contacted them and they took the job on. It was a long job but worth the money and the wait. Stephen contacted me all the time and i would like to say a very big thank you, to Stephen and his mechanics, also to the guy who dropped my car back home to me. Lovely guys and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They go above and beyond for the customer. Cars running good and so very happy with it. Keep up the great work that you all do, thank you to everyone at the engine room. Highly praise them all.
I had the timing belt and water pump replaced on my Ford Focus. Stephen is a great guy to deal with, very knowledgable and helpful. I was kept informed of the progress and they even cleaned my engine bay which was a pleasant surprise. If you’re looking for a reliable and trustworthy garage with great customer service, I would highly recommend The Engine Room.
My Peugeot RCZ had what I can only describe as a catastrophic engine failure. Good though my local garage is, it was far too big a job for them to tackle and they recommended The Engine Room in Motherwell. The entire engine had to be removed and Stephen sent me a photo of what looked like half of a car, such was the sheer magnitude of the work which needed to be done. Once the spares arrived, the work was carried out very quickly. I can't really think of any other company which would have carried out this task, in which the entire engine had to be not only removed, but stripped down and rebuilt with many replacement parts. It wasn't cheap and Stephen did ask if I actually wanted it repaired, however scrapping it wasn't an option. That said, the price was absolutely fair and it's like I have a new car. I don't ever remember it running so smoothly and it was a very low mileage car when I bought it. It's responsive and refined and I'm beginning to enjoy driving again. I've to take it back for a check after driving for a week, which is an added professional touch. I intend to keep this car for a very long time and am certain that if something does go wrong with it in the future, it will have nothing to do with the engine. Highly recommended.

Boys 15 plate fiesta st engine destroyed after over heating problem.. Looked as if it was to become an expensive ornament due to it being an st.Took it to the Engine Room hoping for good news but as expected it was gone. I thought the worst but the extremely knowledgeable Stephen who runs the show along with his team told me he could fix it and gave me a quick quote. If you are expecting something like this to be repaired quickly or cheaply then you don't realise the extent of the damage to your engine as these things take time and money but everytime I phoned Stephen he would give me an update on what he was waiting for and when to phone for another update. My happy son has now got his pride and joy back and dad's taxi has been parked up, while Stephen's quote was practically on the button. Cannot recommend this firm enough as I've dealt with rodeo riders before in the past so if your reading the engine room reviews as I did trust me this is the place to go. Thanks again Stephen and his team.
*long review alert* My daughters first car (mini) was displaying numerous engine faults. I had taken it to two local garages and they couldn’t fix it. Two further garages would not touch it and the fifth garage gave me Stephen’s number. Right away he told me not to worry and that he could fix what was wrong. After tearing down the engine and going over it meticulously, numerous major faults were found. The quote I received was broken down and everything was explained to me. The price for the job was was extremely fair considering the amount of work that needed done. Stephen is a perfectionist and worked on the car until it purred like a kitten. I am eternally grateful and so is my daughter who I can now be assured is safe when driving. I would not hesitate to recommend Stephen and his team for any and all engine repairs. Outstanding work. !
Their's a lot of con men out there when your engine fails, and there's a quick fix??. They fixed my Taxi - got me on the road , 'you pay for what you get' - good after sales - thanks Steven. I Can't recommend these guys enough - 1st class !!!
