Entrusted Mackie Transmission as had previous experience of their services on my other ZF equipped car and knew of their expertise and accredited workshop specialising in ZF transmissions.    Mackies was recommended to me as i was looking for my local garage to perform some sort of maintenance on my automatic transmission. The level of customer service from first contact to picking up my car was stress free and very professional giving a level of confidence that you were in good hands. I did not have a prior fault in my transmission so did not require a diagnostic but having received a call from the workshop manager giving me a breakdown in detail of what maintenance was carried out I feel reassured that the work carried out can only be beneficial to maintaining the performance of my driving experience. I have since recommended Mackies to my brother in law who has now booked his car in for a full diagnostic and whatever follows.

   My car developed a problem with its automatic transmission where it struggled to select gears and was making a horrendous noise. I’m not local to Glasgow so a garage closer to me said they would fix it, my car sat with them for a month and we were no further forward. Approached Mackie’s and two working days later i had my car back to me fully working. A great service where I was fully updated throughout the journey. Very impressed.

   I can’t rate Mackie transmission high enough. The service was faultless, from the first call to look for advice to the constant updates and the completion of the work it was first class. My car was playing up after I took it to another garage for a gearbox oil change, after taking back to have the first garage look at the gearbox again they said can not work out the problem but call Mackie they are the gear box experts. I gave the guys a call and they organised to pick up my car on a car transporter, 4 hours later they phoned and told me all fixed, issue was not enough oil in the box! I was over the moon, I had sleepless night worrying it would be a new box or torque converter. One happy customer. Thanks guys!!

   I had my BMW X5 in for a automatic transmission, transfer box and diff's service yesterday. Very helpful garage with advice before the booking and on the day (also fixed a suspension issue). The office staff were very pleasant to deal with and work was carried out exactly as agreed. Car is driving so much better now. I would highly recommend Mackie Automatic Transmissions and I certainly will use again.
