   My family and I are visiting from the States and randomly discovered this bar- WONDERFUL staff, dog friendly, with a large outdoor beer garden area. They were kind enough to host a karaoke night on a night they normally wouldn’t, just out of kindness to accommodate our group! Can’t say enough about how wonderful and welcoming they are. Highly recommend!

   I enjoyed my visit, but the pub was a little too quiet for me. I was the only person there. Drinks were reasonably priced (although slightly more expensive than other nearby bars), close to Dalreoch station so handy for waiting on my train and the beer garden had great views of the river and Dumbarton. The person behind the bar was also very friendly and polite.

   best pub in the shire and beyond. the review complaining about food must mean another pub as the waverley never has and never will sell food. best bar staff. best punters. karaoke at the weekends. if you get a slagging in the pub they like you. an actual large beer garden. summer days and cider. drew, frankie, maria are great .
