   I’ve used this shop for over 25 years and if they don’t have it in stock then they’ll get it. Family run business with years of knowledge and experience as well as contacts within the motor industry. I also use the family run garage for servicing and repairing my cars (McKinnon Brothers) highly recommended.

   I grew Up using motor factors then internet and eBay came along, so started using them but now I am back using the nearest motor factor to me in Dalry. GMK Autoparts. Quick call to check if parts are in stock or to find out how quick , often in stock or same day if calling in the morning, but definitely much quicker than postage from eBay. Prices are just as good or better that can be found on an eBay search. The other big thing I prefer a local factor is because they check via the reg for the correct part when ordering. So there is much less chance of getting a part and then finding it’s not exactly the correct one, and if it does happen it’s easy to take it back and get the right one. I also value the logic of spending money locally. Local business’s make up a great part of local communities.

   WHAT A SHOP SHOULD BE LIKE. I’m too young to remember but I would like to imagine this is how shops used to be. Friendly, knowledgeable owners. Nothing too much bother. Plenty of stock. If not in stock then can be ordered in as fast as Amazon Prime (in my case). And the item was cheaper than Amazon. I’ve even bought items here that I struggled to find online. Amazing in this modern world of e-commerce. If you’re in need of any car parts I would strongly recommend given these guys a call.
