I purchased a dashcam from the above. It was not fitted where i wanted it to be so it had to be removed then refitted. The adhesive pad used to refit failed next day leaving dashcam swinging on its cables. I had it refitted at same branch next day. I was informed that the new adhesive pad was far stronger. It looked identical to the previous one. I noticed the attitude of the person fitting it when he was speaking to his branch manager. The dashcam has fallen off again. It appears that this is the normal level of customer service by halfords based on other coments.
The sale advisor in the greenock branch, her name is Jo, she was amazing! Her customer servicr was 10/10. She never just let me buy something that wouldn't fit my son, she advised me the best size and asked me to bring my son in. I had anxiety bringing my kids in the store as they can get abit excited around all those bikes but she reassured me. She saved me alot of money and heartache as the bike I had chosen would have been too small for my son. instead I was able to buy the right one. Thanks jo so much she even brought it to my car and found a way to squeeze the bike in the car that was build for me in store. Thanks again. The kids can't wait to go back to the store to see jo Thanks again. Today is his birthday, my son is absolutely thrilled with his shiny new red bike. Great customer service, thank you Reef and Richard. Guys sorted my order quickly as there were problems with system. They were friendly, professional, efficient, knowledgeable, quick. 5 stars for guys and other lovely employees. Only gave 4 stars for problems with system, ordering and booking service. Prices could be more competitive.
Popped in here for a bicycle pump and dealt with a lady called, Jo. She was absolutely brilliant and knew her stuff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Came away with a pump and a new helmet for my son as well. Jo is an absolute credit to this store.
I had my kids bike serviced and this was very professional. The only issue was when I tried to drop the bike off I was ignored by the shop staff for 20 minutes, then to add insult to injury one of the staff decided to serve someone who had just turned up and I had to stand there for another 10 minutes untill they decide to serve me not even an apology when I pointed this out. Really not impressed with the customer service. The bike service was great just the staff can't serve you in a timely and respectful manner.

Went in with a flat battery - they jump started my car to get it to the store - was about 500 yards away - then supplied and fitted a new one. Friendly, helpful staff even when I kept them past closing time.
I was there to get a bulb replaced after being let down by another branch, there was an issue relating to the bulb but as the branch I was at originally, and this one didn’t have the headlamp alignment equipment to see what was happening, it was when the Halfords garage looked at it and said it must be the new bulb. The man at the store decided to argue with me and changed the bulb for a new one some persuasion ( and begrudgingly). Went back to the Halfords garage and what do you know, all those arguing saying I was wrong, we’re actually wrong themselves, myself and the garage were correct. It’s amazing what these people can learn from those of us that know what we are talking about and have had links with the motor trade for almost 40 years. I was so infuriated by the person claiming to Mr Right (first name being always) at the store, I forgot the bottles of screen wash I paid for. I can only say, to avoid this, don’t fit parts to cars if you don’t have the correct equipment to check your work. The star I’ve given is for the lady who served me with the screen wash while waiting for the fitter, the lady that served me is the kind of person that every shop needs, shares her knowledge but stays quiet if she doesn’t know.
I visited Halfords Greenock yesterday to purchase two items and was delighted by the attitude of the staff. Help and support were given willingly and in a pleasant manner. I was particularly grateful to Michael whose knowledge of the products I purchased, and their application, was impressive. I had no hesitation in joining Halfords Motoring Club especially as there is now a branch in my home town of Largs. On the way home, I popped back in with a thank you card and some chocolates which I hope they all enjoy with my grateful thanks. Janis Proctor
