   This is the best garage I've ever used. I live in a wee van and it's quite stressful getting work done on it but they always get it back to me the same day so I have somewhere to sleep at night - and often within a few hours! There's great communication, with email and/or what's app reminders about appointments, phone calls about any work that it needs whilst it's in and predicted costs before they start. I think it's the only garage I've never had to chase for updates as they're on it! So despite not being based in the area I'll continue to go out of my way to use these guys because I trust them, they're friendly and super helpful, and they keep my van home running smoothly.

   Just had my car in at Semtech for a quote after an eye-watering experience at a main dealer. Semtech found that the wrong part was fitted (no mention of that from the dealer) and sorted it out for me there and then. I can't thank them enough! Very helpful, kind staff and clear explanations keeping me informed. I will most certainly take my car there again in the future.

   I put my car in yesterday for its MOT. Whilst my car was in it failed. My car was in the shop from 8.30 until 5.45. I was called at around 12 to say that car had failed its MOT and had also ran out of petrol (my light had only come on at the lights before turning into the industrial estate where the garage is based meaning my car still had 20-25 miles on it) I knew I needed petrol but assumed that it would be enough. Whilst on the phone the receptionist told me that someone would need to go and get petrol and that I would be charged half an hours labour for that which was £37.50. At no point was I informed that I could have done it myself and saved myself money in doing so. I was charged £24 (£4 tax) for the petrol and once I got my car back there was 31 miles in it and my light was back on by the time I had gotten to Auchinairn roundabout. I asked for a receipt before leaving the business which they had already closed and was shouted at across the road “it’s on your invoice” I wanted proof that £20 was put in the car they couldn’t provide that. I was also charged £62.50 for a set of new wipers which I have no been informed I could have gotten myself at no point did anyone discuss with me that I could have done these things I could have saved myself money which would have come in handy at this time of year. I was told my car would be ready for 5/5.30 so we drove over for 5 and whilst sitting there witnessed my tyres NEW tyres being looked after very carelessly when being taken off and put back on. “We will need to put petrol in but you’ll be charged half an hours labour” the “but” in there did not indicate to me that I could put my own petrol in which was the boss man’s defence this morning after asking his receptionist if she had told me to which her reply was no. When we got there the card machine was just thrown my way before anything on the paper work was explained to me the paperwork most definitely should have been shown to me first but you could tell they just wanted up the road. Phoned up this morning to query this and was met with un professionalism, I was actually laughed at a couple of times and there was just generally a very rude overtone to the whole conversation. I then put £30 in car and got what’s in the pictures below. There’s no way £20 was put in the car I had barely even made it home . I will be in contact today with trading standards to follow up on this.

   Wife took my car to Semtech for simple repair of a fuel cap button fix and got it back with damaged paintwork around the corners. After showing them the before and after photos of the car they refuse to accept responsibility and deny it was them.

   I have been going to this garage now for a few now years now after a recommendation, I would never go anywhere else now, not only are all the guys so experienced, my prices have also been very fair and reasonable, 100% customer service each time I visit, always going above and beyond always on hand to answer any questions I have on my car if I feel their is a problem. Picking up my car today such fast efficient service. I would highly recommend this company.
