   It does not give me any pleasure in providing this low rating. Brooklyn Autos (new name), previously Bob's MOT centre, was recommended to me by a friend. I always try to give local small businesses my custom. Having been recommended place as one of the best around, I booked my car in (Early Nov) to have new tires fitted. I articulated that the last time I had had a puncture, another local mechanic had damaged one of my wheels fixing the puncture. I specifically asked if this was likely to happen again. I was told that in all his many years of being a mechanic, he had never damaged a wheel. The vehicle was dropped off at 8:30 am and I tried to find out if it was ready around 5. I got no answer. I dropped down there at 20:20PM. the proprietor was talking to another customer so I went to look at the car meantime. The front left wheel was damaged and the paint/powder coat was chipped away. When I asked how this happened and why I hadn't been informed of this earlier, I was subjected to a progressively escalated barrage of curse words, pointy fingers in my face aggression, and irrational responses. He claimed the wheel itself was faulty, had been previously repaired poorly, and this was why the damage had occurred I kept asking the proprietor to try and calm down, that I was merely asking what had happened and why I hadn't been told about this earlier. Long story short, he agreed that he would repair that one wheel and would contact me on the Monday (this was a friday night - now almost 10PM), with details of a friend of his who could do the repair. Today is 3 Monday's since we agreed he would contact me. The proprietor refuses to answer calls, or messages, and any time I have been down to the garage, he is not there or the garage is closed. I went down to his friend's shop, and asked him for a quote, which he duly gave. But he also said that the wheel was damaged because the plastic protective sleeve had not been used to remove the tire, and hence the damage. All I can say is, he might be a good mechanic, but he is not an honest tradesman and the experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I cannot in any way recommend this place.

   Another happy customer here. I recently had an mot and full service carried out at Bob's Mot Centre. Very good value for money. MOT, full service, all filters, engine flush, correct oils, new front brake disks and pads and a few other minor repairs all for under £600. This is great value folks and the car was washed. Good attention to detail and clear communication. I will be back.
