Super nice atmosphere, careful with my nails and made sure I liked them every single step, amazing price for the quality. Honestly the best experience I've ever had.
First visit today for eyebrow wax. The staff were warm and friendly. They did a great job and checked in with me throughout. Will return.
I visit this salon to get shellac, threading and waxing done. However, after my experience of nails, I will not be returning. When I entered, no one even looked up or addressed me, I had to inch forward until someone asked "have you got an appointment?" I replied "no" and the lady asked what I wanted, I told her I wanted shellac and she told me to sit down. I was then told to sit at the nail bar and I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She then proceeded to use the nail drill. I told her I had nail strengthen polish on. She unfortunately didn't understand and we communicated through Google translate, which I had no issues with. She spent possibly 45 minutes filling my nails and using the nail drill 3x, she filled my cuticles so much with the drill that they were red and I actually pulled my hand back a few times. I understand she was learning but this was just uncomfortable. The lady who actually does nails come over after she had finished with another client and looked at the picture and said "we can't do that" (the picture was a simple french manicure with a pink line through it) I asked why and she replied we can do pink all over. I told her that is not what I wanted and she just replied that it was not possible. I said I should have been told that at the start before sitting half way through. She replied "the lady does not know" at this point they woman said she would and do it but she is not a nail designer. She eventually did the design. During it there was moment there i adjusted my elbow and the woman rudely said "don't move" I stared back at her as I was close to walking out, at that point I had been sitting with my hands and arms in that position for over an hour! She finished and the proceeded to move me to the chair for the threading and waxing to which I replied no thank you. I had been in there for an hour and a half at that point! When I was there, I found them quiet rude and abrupt to other customers, a lady walked in and asked for her nails to be done and the lady replied "we're too busy" no "hi" or " sorry about that". The girl next to me was getting her nails done and was busy talking to her friend and nail tech asked if she was happy with her nails and the girl said it's not what she asked for and the lady doing my nails replied "well we don't have time to change it". I found the service poor, communication was poor and the nails techs not trained properly for a nail salon. I suspect the client retention is poor for this salon and I definitely won't be coming back!
Thank you Mary! The owner / manager gave me a beautiful wash, with a trim, restyle, and layers for a very reasonable price of only £30. I wish I had a decent before photo - but as you can see, the result is shiney and lovely. I am happy with my hair and will be back. I think some of the negative reviews should communicate to the salon if they aren’t happy. I know from my personal experience that the lady who did my hair is very professional and can take on board criticism. Rather than leaving negative reviews you should bring it up with her at the time if you have an issue :) this is a good salon that deserves compliments. Well done and thank you!
The salon was newly renovated and super clean and sleek looking. Then the staff were very friendly and great at what they did. I loved both my hair and nails and am so excited to come back!!! 10/10 would recommend
Unfortunately I had my hair died here a few months ago, they did not do a good job with the balayage and when I asked for root drags at the front of the hair they bleached my entire hairline. They were very nice but I would not recommend getting your hair done here.
Worst experience i DO NOT RECOMMEND..booked an appt to get a protein treatment on my hair, the lady was complaining how very curly my hair is..i felt shamed in a way..i can see and i know that my hair is curly and if i want a service she thinks she can't do she shouldn't have took me in the first place. Anyways she did the treatment then was straightening my hair when her next client arrived, she left me and took care of the other lady. I had to straighten my hair myself in the salon. I've never had such a humiliating experience..and the worst part of it all is that i paid £90 and did the work myself. I left feeling like trash.
I was at Mary's hair salon a few days ago. My daughter had to translate as my Scottish English wasn't that good. We had a hairstyle in mind and wanted her honest opinion. The woman is very polite and very honest. I am now back in Germany (unfortunately) and what remains is a wonderful impression and a hairstyle that makes me so happy. This woman definitely has magical hands. I can't explain it any other way. Kissed by fairies. :-) I highly recommend this hair studio.
They used MMA (methyl methacrylate) on my nails!!! Took over an hour to remove without damaging my nails! The shape of my nails were not even, the polish was not applied to my whole nail, and after a day the extension had removed itself from my natural nail (within a week all my nails had gaps between my natural nail and the extensions). Would NOT recommend anyone to go!
