We feel very lucky to find Newington Nursery. I don't usually leave review online but think I would like to use this chance to express my appreciation. My daughter has been in different nurseries but this is the one she absolutely enjoy and embrace the most! The nursery benefits from a huge open hall space and two gardens, children can play freely amount these spaces not in separated rooms like most other nurseries. The settings are different everyday, never a boring or repeat day for the children. Some facilities might seems a bit old, but that didn't stop children having fun and amazing time at all. It just prove that they last for good reasons. Staffs are so warm and patient. With a much better ratio, my daughter has such a strong bonding with her key worker and other staffs. It makes her feel safe and happy to go to nursery, also made the settling period smooth and quick. We are comfortable that our kid get the right attention and response whenever she needs. Through their help, she can quickly play with and remember all other children at the nursery even if English is not her first language. Although the pick up time at 14:30 might be earlier than private nursery, but that also means, we can still have chance to visit parks, library nearby, go shopping or even make cooking together. After fun and good quality activities and playing in the nursery to burn her energy, she goes to bed around 19:00-19:30, which give us parents a generous me time at night. I find it a good balance. At first I was a little bit unsure about preparing lunch ourselves, but quickly realized it can be simple, and by doing so, you can keep the meal style of your own and know what your child is having. They provides plenty healthy snacks anyway, never need to worry them having sugary snacks or chocolate. My daughter met friends all over the worlds, thanks to the multi culture background families in the nursery. The staffs also introduce plentiful activities to promote children's developments in all directions. I appreciate having these experiences for my daughter. Maybe it's less popular nowadays, but if your time is suitable for term-time nurseries, and would like to see a happy and thriving kid, I will highly recommend.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for the last year and has loved it since her first trial morning. The staff are wonderful, caring, friendly and real Early Years educators. The nursery has lovely gardens and a big play room. Our daughter has been thriving and learning so much since she started and the staff put so much effort into creating memorable experiences for the children such as putting on a Nativity show, Christmas parties, Halloween parties and Easter egg hunts. Both my sons have attended Newington Nursery and have really loved it. I have been so impressed by the staff who really care for the kids and organise and provide so many well thought out and interesting activities. My sons have loved the regular outdoor play and have made lasting friendships. The teachers have prepared them so well for school. Their activities are tied in with themes and include art, music, stories, building and construction and plenty of space for imaginative play. I would highly recommend this nursery.

This is a fabulous nursery. The staff (which include some longstanding volunteers) are second to none and each day there are different activities planned for the children. It's well organised and they have access to two lovely gardens which are used by the children most days. They follow the curriculum of excellence and place much emphasis on preparing the children for starting school. It is a community run nursery with charitable status and so the parents can become involved if they so wish. It is a wonderful resource to have in our community and a great way of meeting other families.
