   Booked in to have hair done the week of my wedding. Turned up at appointment with my Mum and the gate was locked with no one answering the door. Tried calling the number on social media to contact them and again no one answered. Had to book in a last minute appointment elsewhere and to this day have never heard from them again. Weird. Not what a bride needs the week of their wedding.

   I found Norma by chance years ago and have never gone anywhere else. Her attention to detail and genuine care about your hair is amazing. I have recommended her to friends and family who now use her. It's a great salon, very friendly and laid back. I would never go anywhere else.

   I came across Chesne Hair as I was looking for a new and more local hairdresser and was encouraged by the lovely reviews previous customers had left. Having had quite a few bad experiences in the past with hairdressers not styling/cutting or colouring my hair the way I’d asked, I’m always a little nervous when trying out a new hairdresser but I needn’t have worried. Norma and Nadia are a mother and daughter duo and gave my hair the expert care it needed. They genuinely listened to what I wanted, provided professional advice on how to look after my hair, recommending products to heal my damaged hair. They both have such a lovely and calming nature and I instantly felt relaxed and put my trust in them both. They suggested a more natural colour of tint and that I try growing out my fringe, both of which I agreed to do. It’s nice to get some advice on what hair colour and style would suit my face and skin tone, something that sadly no longer happens in salons. Their salon is a stand alone purpose built building at the end of their garden, with plenty stations and all the mod cons - it’ll be so relaxing in the summer to look out in their beautiful garden rather than being stuck in an airless, windowless salon. I have only been once for my cut and colour but return next week for my second cut and colour and have even booked my next again appt. They even squeezed me in the following weekend after I liked my beach waves so much after my first visit for an afternoon out. I go back for my second cut and colour and am looking forward to it. Whereas before I have been used to paying near £100 for a cut and could only, Chesne hair do Olaplex treatments and waves as part of their service, I was only £50, an absolute bargain for such a bespoke service. The other thing I appreciated is they spend time with one or two clients so I was on and out in just over 2 hrs. In previous salons the stylists have taken on many clients at the same time and I’ve been used to spending anything from 3-4 hours in a salon, another reason I looked for somewhere else. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, in fact my friend and sister were so impressed they’re going to book up too! They really are a bespoke service and clearly know they’re stuff. Don’t think twice about giving them a go, you won’t be disappointed.

   Wonderful professional stylists. The very best styling experience ever. Norma and Nadia are so knowledgeable about all aspects of cut, colour and styling I left feelings million dollars. Completely transformed my look and explained how I can care for my hair at home. Absolutely the best and will never go any where else ever. My daughters are already converted to Chesne after seeing my transformation. So happy. The salon is absolutely beautiful. The strict attention to hygiene and thorough sterilisation. between clients is outstanding. The staff are so professional and I had a seat in the sun in their private garden. Perfect in every way

   Yet another wonderful hair experience at Norma's new salon in her garden. I was so impressed with the purpose built salon, absolutely amazing. Nadia did my highlights and Norma did the cutting/drying and between them they gave me exactly what i wanted. They listened. My fine hair feels like silk and is so shiny. Thank you both.

   This is my first visit to Norma and the girls. I was nervous because i had never been before. Norma was amazing. She is brilliant at cutting and totally cuts to suit your face. It was a great experience and i love my hair cut and colour. I would 100% recommend this Salon x
