Three of us had the festive afternoon tea today and we were all very impressed. The food was all delicious, and plenty of it, so much so that we all came away with take out boxes to finish at home. Our server, Bonnie, was amazing. She was so friendly and helpful and looked after us so well, she couldn't have done more for us, she is a credit to the store.

Be advised that the Dobbies cafeteria is a shadow of its former self. I remember from the past when you had to book a table. On a recent viisit it wasvterriblr Ordered 2 breakfasts at 10:30. No eggs. No Mushrooms. Black pudding and Haggis totally dry. A real rip off. Charged full price. I wont be using their cafe again.

It's a pretty good garden center overall however there are definitely some areas they could improve on, particularly regarding the food.

My goodness, went to Dobbies hoping for a bite of lunch. Big mistake. In the past when Dobbies was owned by Tesco the restaurant was good. Today 08/11 about 1.30 there was little or nothing left and what there was looked tired and unappetising. A gentleman behind the counter advised that it was full at 11.30. Using the toilet was a struggle, the disabled was blocked and the mens toilets were no better. This place seriously needs a manager who does his job properly. Really unbelievable, what a shame.

Sadly Dobbies seem to be making wrong decision after wrong decision. First it was the changes made to the restaurant and now the food hall. The food section is terrible, the Sainsbury’s bit rarely has anything fresh and the prices are absurd. There is no deli and the bakery is always empty. The butcher is lovely however sadly surrounded by rubbish. Dobbies used to be fantastic, it’s a shame it continues to go downhill.

Very dated all round, needs a BIG revamp.boring and uninteresting choice of food, artificial cakes and awful hot drinks, not to mention some of the staff need serious customer service training

Dropped in for lunch dining area very busy ended up getting a scone and a plate of chips as everything else sold .If we wanted fish and chips it was a 20 to 30 minutes wait . Staff nice but rushed off there feet especially at the hot food and drinks area . Dog friendly area inside as well . Good selection of house plants in the shop as well Clean toilets .

I enjoyed a view of winter sun while having a lovely piece of coffee and walnut cake and a large cup of cappuccino in the restaurant. Then I had a merry Christmas shopping in the shop. The staff are in their Christmas spirit at the moment. Thumbs up!

Five stars for the young man serving in the cafe today (with red hair). He made 3 hot drinks and served ice creams all at the same time quickly and efficiently. Very calm and organised demeanour. Lovely cakes in the cafe too.
