Staff on the counter was very nice friendly and helpful. The counter i been to for Belgium visa was number 2 and the young lady on that counter welcomed me with smile and been very nice and helpful throughout the process. She even helped me to use the self service computer as well. The lady in the biometrics box was very nice and helpful too. Definitely deserves a 5 star. Although the security staff need to be a little more professional. The guy named Ali was looked like he just woke up from a rough sleep and the guy on the x-ray scanner was pretending to be the boss these small things need to be fixed. At the end I must appreciate the inner staff once again specially the lady was working on counter no 2 at that day. Definitely deserve a pay rise. Thanks very much TLS Edinburgh for such a nice helpful friendly and humbled staff

I live in London and booked a Schengen visa appointment at TLS Edinburgh. The TLS online system allowed me to select Edinburgh and complete the booking without any clear warning during the booking steps that only applicants residing in Scotland can apply there. On the day of my appointment, I was informed at the counter that they could not accept my application because I live in London and that I would need to apply in London instead. After this, I went back to the website to check and I did find a small note about the residence rule, but it is quite easy to overlook when you are focused on completing the booking process. In general, I also found the website not very user‑friendly and sometimes it showed technical errors while trying to navigate or book. I travelled from London to Edinburgh, paid the service fee, courier and SMS fees, booked flights and hotel, and prepared all my documents, but my application was not lodged in the end. If this rule is strict, it would really help applicants if the system made it much clearer during the booking process (for example by blocking ineligible postcodes or showing a large, visible warning before confirming the appointment). This could save people a lot of time, money and stress. TLS later informed me that only the courier fee can be refunded, but not the service fee, even though my application was never submitted. I am sharing this experience so that other applicants are aware of the residence rule when booking an appointment at TLS Edinburgh, especially if they are legally resident in London/England.

Everything went very smoothly, from the security staff to the customer service team. We were applying for a France visa and paid extra for the 7:30 AM appointment, which was well worth it. Big thanks to Gwen, who assisted us so kindly and patiently, especially when helping us sort out the correct share code for our application (we accidentally used the employer one). Overall, the process was efficient and well-organized. My only small worry is that I only attached my employment contract along with my three most recent payslips — I hope that will be fine! But the staff made the whole experience easy and reassuring.

I was skeptical that the service would be bad after I read a lot of reviews here (as I have bad experience with BLS). But everything went smoothly, from the security guard to the customer service. I spent around an hour there. Fyi I was applying for Germany visa. I was concerned that they'll need my BRP card as I have lost it, but apparently they don't need it. Make sure you prepare UKVI Outcome Letter, Immigration Status, and Share Code. Also in the website it said you need 3 months of payslips OR employment letter, but beware that employment letter is A MUST, despite you have given them the payslips. But on the brighter side, I don't need to go back to make a new appointment to give the employment letter (as this is what happened to me at BLS). Instead, they sent me an email (10 days after my appointment date) and ask for the required document and I only need to send the PDF. I got my passport back exactly 14 calendar days after my appointment date (I picked it up at TLS. You'll need extra 2 days if you choose delivery). Oh, and make sure you spare around 1 week to search for the appointment date at the website only. My appointment date was a month after I've successfully booked it. So you need to plan accordingly.

No appointments available up to 3 months from now and when you reach out to their staff via call or email, they are straight up rude! told them I need an airport transit visa for a flight I have booked and their answer was to "just get a direct flight". This is plain rude and inconsiderate since there aren't any direct flights from the UK to my country. Do not recommend at all. Embassies should figure out a different way to apply for visas and get rid of these third-party companies with their rude staff.
