   I stayed for two nights and the initial welcome, was underwhelming, no one to be found despite arriving after the late 4pm checkin. The room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was perfect, powerful shower and clean as a whistle. We had dinner the first night which was good basic French fare. Lotte was dismissive of our requests for sparkling water, which seemed odd. However when we checked out, it seems the confirmation email had quoted the wrong price and when we were charged more and questioned this, Lotte was very rude, so that we left feeling as if, despite the comfortable stay, that her response was quite offensive and unnecessarily rude. I appreciate that it's hard to run a financially successful business, but a little kindness goes a long way.

   Very pretty and charming little cafe. Had a lovely family reunion lunch here- the galettes and crepes were beautiful and the “tarte du jour” with raclette was to die for. Staff were friendly and attentive and happy to answer questions about the food and drinks options. Didn’t stay in the hotel but I would in the future. Thank you!

   Stopped here with my husband for a lunch on the way through Frome. Cafe was quiet as weekday lunchtime and two serving staff. We’ve been before and love the French cuisine which is done to such a high standard. However, when sat down no one came to offer us a menu, despite us being next to the counter. Staff even came outside but did not come over even though we sat at their tables, we were ignored. Eventually, one of the staff addressed us in a way that suggested she was confused as to why we were there, asking us essentially what we were doing. I asked for a food menu, which she said she’d bring - but the tone was rude, as though our sitting in the cafe was an inconvenience and we had done something wrong. Food when it came was lovely as always. Normally tip in places, even if service slow, but did not here - unfriendly service doesn’t warrant a tip. We’re disappointed as we’ve visited here often and we love the food - but customer service and care means when we next pass through Frome, we won’t be stopping again. We don’t need gushing over friendly service, but leaving customers feeling as though they’re an inconvenience or unwelcome seems bizarre for a cafe/restaurant. So much potential, such a shame to compromise it and lose customers with poor attitude to customers.

   We absolutely loved pur time at Lotte's. The restaurant atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the food superb. Our room was very clean, good quality bedding, good shower. The tea and coffee in the room was good. We liked the location but parking is a bit of an issue.

   A truly French style bistro in Frome. Beautiful decor especially in the upstairs room. Food was delicious and authentic. One of few menus that have made us plan our return so we can try other items. Big shout out to Lydia who served us with grace, charm and a smile.

   Food was excellent. Service could be better although the staff were friendly. Seems to be a habit of staff congregating around the bar too much. Also if Draught lager is available then make it known on the menu or on the specials board. This is a lovely venue and probably the best in Frome...but they must guard against lowering standards!!! Yes I will go back...hopefully many, many times!!! Pull your socks up....
