   One of these hardware and fancy goods (what's the modern equivalent of that phrase?) stores. They have everything. It's sort of creeping off the shelves into the isles. And yet the staff know where everything is. If you find yourself short of a circular saw blade, a watch strap, a fitting for your garden hose, a plant pot, a light bulb for that torch your granddad had since the war, a spaghetti strainer, and a fishing net for the kids, this place has you covered. It's quite the experience.

   Brilliant as usual a shop where you can get almost anything and if they haven't got it in stock they'll get it for you. A place tool, diy and homeware geeks can spend all their money.

   If you need anything this little hidden gem of a shop will have it or order it in for you . This family run store has been operating for decades in Strathaven and has served the public well and continues to do so . Today in November in looking locally for skipping ropes , hula hoops and outside toys and guess where in heading ??

   The store is known locally as the Alladin's cave. They seem to have just about anything you need whether it's related to plumbing, gifts, gardening, gadgets, painting, DIY and much more. (and if unusually they don't have something you need, it's normal for them to get it for you at the next day. You can spend hours just looking around browsing for things you didn't know you needed.

   Great, traditional hardware store. Seems to stock just about everything you might need. Sometimes difficult to find things, though great fun searching the shelves! However, the staff, amazingly can usually point you in the right direction or fetch what you're looking for.
