I am extremely disappointed with the medical services we received in Kirkcaldy. My daughter has had nosebleeds for the past four days, happening up to four times a day. We tried contacting our local GP repeatedly, but most of the time they did not answer the phone. When they did answer, we were told every time to “call again at 8am,” which was not helpful. Yesterday, during my daughter’s school exam, her nose started bleeding heavily again. We contacted NHS 24 and waited more than three hours before finally receiving an appointment at the hospital in Kirkcaldy. We drove 25 minutes and arrived at 1 a.m., but after checking in we waited almost two hours without anyone calling her or giving us any update. When we asked at the desk, we were told it could still take several more hours. We were exhausted, my daughter wasn’t feeling well, and I had an important exam in the morning, so we eventually decided to go home. The receptionist suggested we “try the GP again in the morning.” I am very worried about the state of UK medical services. It feels like the system is getting worse day by day. There is a lack of communication, long waiting times, and no support for urgent situations. This experience has left us extremely frustrated and concerned for the future.

Went to minor injuries with severe foot pain, which is precisely where NHS Scotland advises to go. They didn't even look at my foot: told me it was gout and I should go home and take painkillers. When I asked if they could at least get someone to *look* at it before dismissing me, they went and got a doctor who was clearly disgusted by having to touch someone's (perfectly clean and wholesome!) feet. She at least acknowledged in seconds that it didn't look anything like gout, but made the almost equally insulting diagnosis of possibly bunions and the same advice to go home and take pain killers. Wouldn't do any kind of x-ray or scan with the insane logic that, if it was broken, it had been broken too long for them to do anything about it... without apparently considering that might at least inform whether it was safe for me to continue trying to use the foot. Long story short, I'm left with crippling foot pain, and a sobering insight into my chances of ending up yet another neurodivergent mortality rate statistic due to horrifyingly negligent medical staff.

If it weren't for the kind nurses and midwives the neonatal unit would be a nightmare, they couldn't of been any better at their job yet they are paid less than the people that harass you,, prepare for dirty looks and discusting method's if you don't want any injections for your newborn, the vitimin k shot they call it had hydrochloric acid and may cause shock and death in infants so we decided against their offer, one of the pediatric doctors was highly trained and had years of experience yet she lied to us and said that can't happen.. WARNING: This product contains aluminum that may be toxic. Aluminum may reach toxic levels with prolonged parenteral administration if kidney function is impaired.. no matter what they offer you please ask for the leaflet with the information that comes with the box.. if you don't ask the information will be withheld from you which is illegal, its called informed consent

Nothing to describe. Took my wife with asthma related problems. Waited an hour - all she needed was oxygen, but they wanted to test her heart. Left after just been left alone for another hour. Totally useless.
