   Last Tuesday my husband had occasion to attend A & E after a fall in the garage. He damaged a large patch of skin on his left forearm. He was attended to very quickly by Ainsley and Hannah two very pleasant and professional nurses. To avoid having to wait to see another nurse to check the dressing and because we live within five minutes of the hospital we were given an appointment to attend after lunch when again he was treated by another very pleasant and professional nurse Lorna. We must also compliment the two receptionists on the desk. Once again we cannot praise the staff too highly for their professionalism care and attention. Many thanks. Francis and Gloria Hatch.

   Hysterectomy From day 1 being diagnosed with cancer lining of womb, fast forward 6wks, 10 days post op(Hysterectomy)the care I was given from gynaecology doctors & nurses, theatre staff, the maggie centre,everyone who was involved in my care, was second to none, & getting told today no more cancer detected. I will always be so grateful to them all, now time to take it easy & heal.

   Gallbladder/ umbilical hernia operation - Wed 5th Nov. In a world where people moan & complain, I will say Ive had the most amazing, kind, empathetic NHS staff looking after me from the minute I arrived in recovery, theatre, & day surgery.. The FVRH/NHS have alot to be proud of in this team of extraordinary individuals.. To name the names I do remember Sheila (Dark Blue uniform) special lady with grace but authority while managing her area, found the time to put me at ease but also complete all the forms required. Mr Michael Wilson - kind & down to earth surgeon. Next someone whos name I didnt get was Mr W side kick, a lovely empathetic informative female surgeon who was very patient explaining everything in in tiny detail, which I felt I needed enormously. My Anaesthetist Ruth Mawhinny, gentle understanding lady who was amazing when putting me to sleep.. Her 2 theatre nurse who understood why I had tears coming down my face, & just held my hands. My recovery nurse (again cant even remember her name) exceptionally patient, kind, wanted best for me wasnt afraid to ask for help. Then to have Senior Nurse Kirsten with Nicola who were so slick, worked seamlessly to achieved a well run area, putting all the ladys at ease. I was kept in over night in ambulatory care where I had 2 senior nurses looking after me, Linda & Catriona, both strong characters with empathy, information I could actually use, instead of jargon, wee bit cheekiness but so so caring that nothing was an effort. In morning Gaynor & Annalise both snr nurses, Nicola again wrapped the whole experience up with Help from Emma, Trainee nurse. All 4 were efficient, making me feel Iike I was only patient. Lastly wee Martha serco cleaner who quietly went about her job but blethered away to make me feel comfortable. If I could bottle this experience I would as it was seemless, couldn't of expected any more. True credit to themselves and NHS Thankyou

   Awful. Spent 20h in A&E over the weekend with my husband who presented with every symptom going flagging urgent admission. Was completely ignored. Eventually saw a doctor on one of the days who I had to push to do a CT. He said the results were normal and that he just needed to sleep. After getting a referral from GP he was eventually admitted (he has been there for a week so far) where we were told the CT was actually not normal and showed a possible stroke event. After trying to say he agreed with his colleagues decision, the doctor eventually backtracked and apologised when I asked him what if this had been an elderly person that was told to go and sleep off a possible stroke?! I can’t believe how difficult it has been to get him admitted and the correct treatment (I had to email a consultant myself to get him the correct meds), My dad died of a heart attack in a developing country and the urgency he was treated with was better than this

   RACIST hospital Giving one star because couldn't give any less then this. Went there twice in AE and both time sat their for 5 hours and one time doctor wasn't interested in seeing my case and sent me away- said their is nothing, second time their was no response, even after waiting for so long so left without seeing the doctor, the reason because they weren't interested in seeing me because they are very RACIST, every non white patient were give chance to see the doctor and res lt of us were just waiting in the hall.

   Only giving one because you can’t give less. Not encouraging to have a nurse who is outright nasty and laughs in your face and seems to enjoy exacerbating an already horrid situation. Even the hospital manager for that day who came to assist after I complained said he witnessed staff being “confrontational” in the ambulatory care dept. Some think when they put on a uniform somehow they are above questions or because you are fearful and have read terrible things from the inspector about the hospital that is rude to ask prior to trusting them to operate on your partner. They also don’t seem to have much time for people who have PTSD actually brought about by NHS and when having a panic attack told to stop taking it “personally”. Absolutely dreadful from the nurse who bleated on about how wonderful she was for staying 2 years past her retirement. Maybe you should have gone Margaret because your certainly bringing down the rest of your team who at least to my face were pleasant and took time to care. Words like “old school” don’t make your behaviour ok. You should go immediately.

   Forth Valley Royal Hospital One of the newest hospital in Central Scotland officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen. Main front entrance and Night entrance through the back door. Mainly the entire building is divided in to blocks in 3 floors. All floors can be accessed by lifts and stairs. Main wards are divided in to A & B blocks. Nursing staffs are very helpful and approachable. ✓ Free Cash Machine (ATM) ✓ M&S, W H Smith & Starbucks located in the front entrance across Reception area. ✓ Large Hospital Canteen for Staffs and Visitors. ✓ Plenty of Fresh drinking water machines available at every levels. ✓ Chocolate and Crisp Vending machines and Hot drinks machine can be found at all floors. Entry to wards are all locked and visitors need to press the button to gain access. Security office located at the back entrance. Separate entry for A&E. Multiple car parks are all colour coded for different departments. Parking restrictions are in place during day time. Free Parking. Plenty of seating and washroom arrangements. Washrooms are getting cleaned at regular intervals. Public phone booth also installed at all floors. Outside front and back entrance are smoke free zone. One of the lift in B wards is out of order(02/10/2022).

   Second week at day care and on both occasions I found all the nurses and training nurses couldn’t be more caring and attentive. Nothing was to much bother and good friendly banter. Even the catering lady was great. Thank you all for caring.
