I generally like this store and Im a regular customer. Wrote this review a few months ago with 4 starts complaining about lack of self checkouts but they have now added self checkouts which is the good news so I changed it to 5 stars. The bad news is with doing self check outs they unnecessarily put electric gates to let you in and out. Worse is it prints your recite everytime and you have to scan it to let you out. This mean it can be difficult when your carrying shopping in both hands without a bag. And is all around an unnecessarily waste of paper we are ment to care for the environment. Plenty of other stores across the UK where you dont need to take the extra time to scan it to let you out. No reason why It can't be the same here. But generally good job all around great store.

Disappointing Experience with Staff Member !!!!!!!!!! This morning, I visited this Lidl branch for my usual weekly shopping with my elderly mum. Every weekend, I spend time with her, and our shopping trips are a special escape from the daily routine. We always enjoy shopping at Lidl—it’s something we look forward to. The staff are usually very kind and helpful, and we always leave the store with smiles. However, I’m very disappointed to share that today was an exception. The cashier at till number one, Ellis, was extremely rude and showed no patience or understanding toward my mum. Her attitude was unprofessional, and she frequently sighed and huffed during the payment process, which made us feel very uncomfortable. Dear Ellis, one day your mum will also grow older, and so will you. I hope that when that time comes, the people around you will treat you and your loved ones with kindness and respect. Being kind costs nothing. This lack of empathy and professionalism was disheartening—especially when assisting an elderly customer who may need a little more time. I truly hope you reflect on this and improve how you treat others. Compassion goes a long way. Thank you . Kind regards

Shop is near our house, so it's convenient, no need to ho into airdrie. I like the unbaked frozen croissants. It's nice to have freshly baked croissants at the weekend. Staff are great. I was wrongly looking for a hot cross bun cake, and even though I should have been looking for a hot cross bun cheesecake, a member of staff found it for me.

Unrivalled selection and shelves are always well stocked. Staff are friendly and helpful and the store is generally clean and well maintained. Nice wide aisles and never feels busy even when it clearly is. It's silly but the best thing for me is the bag hooks at the till, helps keep your bag open so you can pack single handedly. It's a small thing but it makes a huge difference.

Telephone support was very unhelpful, routed me through tons of useless robots before eventually getting a human who couldn’t simply call a store to find out if they had self checkouts or not as apparently their stores don’t have phones? Very odd. So I went in to find out myself and there are no self checkouts so I tried to leave and the door doesn’t let you exit without going through a checkout even if you’re not buying anything. I only gave it two stars because I haven’t been able to test any other facilities as I rely on the use of self checkouts which they do not have despite it being a very new store. Disappointing for a large store like Lidl I must say.

Massive new supermarket. Good quality food. Quiet for shopping in the evenings. Traffic lights and mini roundabouts just outside, strange set-up.

Great new store, well stocked as usual. Staff are cheerful and attentive and hopefully that will last. Huge car park which hopefully will not be swamped by cars on a football day as the stadium is next door.

Called in on Monday evening for Brandy & Rum to soak 2 Fruitcakes in before finishing them off. BUT I managed to leave a Brand New Dark Brown Lefthand Glove in one of the Smaller Trolleys, would be great if someone handed it in. Tried phoning the Store but only 2 options & as they were no good, the call was cut at the Lidl end.
