The junk food and beer aisles are longer than the actual food sections and there is very little range in good food

AVOID! Been using them through Just Eat as the delivery is pretty prompt. They've always been poor at declaring items missing. Seemed to improve for a couple of months but past month I've had numerous items missing (typically between 6-8 items and Β£20 worth of groceries). Often it's been basic but heavier items like milk which is the very reason I order in this way. Now I have to wait days for the refund again. I don't mind tipping well as the delivery is mostly fine. It's all on the Co-op. Even requesting they substitute doesn't help. Last straw now. I'll go elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs, if possible - aside from having stock on the shelves with mould growing on the produce and bread (when there is stock) the customer service is non-existent and verging on confrontational, antagonistic and belligerent. The middle-aged employee named Cullen being at the top of the atrocious list of Co-op representatives that clearly needs to consider employment that doesn't involve speaking to anyone. I only visit this shop when I absolutely have to, given the poor alternatives in the area, and should not have to tolerate employees such as Cullen saying β€œthis is bloody ridiculous” whenever they need to help customers due to having inadequate self-checkout tills.

Like all coop stores it’s always a little more expensive than the bigger supermarkets, but it generally makes up for it in quality. Shop is usually well stocked with a decent selection and the staff have always been pretty decent.

The co op is a good place but rember it's a convince store and the prices are high but if your a member you get two personal deals every week but their prices for the items has went sky high recently so most people will go to the big supermarket for the weekly shopping the coop was the biggest food supplier in the uk they controlled it all as their was no supermarkets at that period so why did the co op loose control and the supermarkets control everything now could be the coop didn't have the people who could manage this huge empire of food shops

It's a very strange shop. It has all the trappings of a very well-stocked shop in terms of shelving to put produce on, but 30-50% of the shelves are nearly always empty and the meat and veg is almost always about to go out of date. Keep a really close eye on the date if you're buying from their reduced shelf too, I bought some chicken from there and was throwing up for days, I suspect the chicken was there for too long. Why not just have a smaller selection but keep on top of the sell by date and stocking? Anyway they do let you top up your electricity with your card so thats neat
