This practice is working hard to offer as many appointments as possible and has done a lot to improve things since the pandemic. My wife and I have had good service from some excellent doctors, advanced medical practitioners and nurses.

Have never had a problem with the surgery The reception staff are always very friendly and helpful and can’t fault any of the medical staff Have always managed to get an appointment if needed both on the day and in advance if just a routine thing Usually order our prescriptions online and they have always arrived at our nominated pharmacy quickly

The Nurses Doctors & Reception Staff Are ALL Wonderful Helpful People . The Surgery is lovely the Doctors do everything they possibly can to make you better if there's something else going on that they think is more serious that a specialist needs to see you, they will refer you to either the A&E dep of the ERI hospital or refer you straight to a specialist. Now what most patients Forget is Our Doctors are not Responsible for the long waiting lists for seeing a specialist that are happening All over Scotland ! /UK ! They are also doing their best to see each of us in a difficult time for the health care system at the moment that's out of their control ! Before you bad mouth our doctors & nurses online Educate Yourself First !!!! Look up on the internet asking the basic questions of why are there only a handful of doctors appointments each day ? What is happening with doctors surgeries across the UK Q:? Why are there so few Doctors Appointments?? Answers : GP Appointments Are Harder to Book Due to GP Shortages and Rising Demand. Aging patients with complex conditions, fewer new GPs entering the field, and a high demand for services are causing appointment delays. This situation isn't unique to the UK !! So please continue to treat our Doctors that we do have with the Respect and care that they give us !!

An absolutely disgraceful clinic - worse than useless. Will do everything in their power to avoid even giving you an appointment and then everything in their power to dismiss you. Failed to diagnose me twice when i specifically questioned if it was the issue it eventually proved to be. Was given some BS excuse for why it couldn't be each time. After months of anxiety during which i contemplated suicide, I eventually realised i needed to go private, and i was diagnosed in minutes. I just wish they had told me beforehand that they weren't going to bother with me and i'd have saved myself about 4 months. Hopefully the delay in diagnoses won't cause any complications. I would avoid this place like the plague if you value your health.

I’m a new patient with the surgery and just wanted to say how friendly and helpful everyone has been, particularly the nursing staff, one of whom spotted a potential error in the medication I’d been prescribed by my old practice in Nottingham. I wasn’t able to get on the list at my nearest surgery in Portobello but Durham Road took me on immediately and also gave me a super fast appointment to see the nurse as I was out of medication following my house move and unable to get another prescription without seeing a practitioner in Scotland. Appointment sorted for the following day and a prescription raised so I didn’t run out. It’s been straightforward to secure an appointment and the staff have been very friendly and helpful. I don’t go to the doctors much as a rule but this surgery is probably the most efficient and proactive I’ve come across - and I’ve moved a lot over the years. It’s a shame to see earlier bad reviews and I’m sorry others feel that way but it absolutely hasn’t been my experience to date and I’d like to say a public thank you to the team. It’s not an easy job and it’s often thankless but for what it’s worth, I think you’re all great.

I know is so busy everywhere But people need more attention and that need to change for make feeling better when someone need to contact with a pain.

My first proper connection with the surgery as a new patient. Called at 8am second in the queue. Just over an hour later Dr Grubb called back. My prescription was picked and dispensed at boots for 12 o'clock. The receptionist was very efficient with a nice manner.

At the moment I find it quite difficult to see a doctor in person at the practice , it always seems to be over the phone . I have a few things that need sorting out adjust cardiac medications and need re referral back to cardiology, need to get to the bottom of why I keep having chest pains. Will try to call again tomorrow…

My husband, with cancer, phoned last Tuesday was told they didn’t have time (7 days notice) to take bloods requested by oncology for his cancer treatment. When I phoned back, the receptionist (who led me to believe she was the practice manager) rudely said she’d have to squeeze him into her coffee break but it would only be the following Tuesday (today). Already an extremely worrying time for all of us and the rudeness of this receptionist was appalling. She was very cold with my husband and didn’t know what the bloods were for so I phoned today to tell her and ask that she lets the lab know. She refused to take the information, told me to phone the lab myself then hung up! There’s barely a week passes when we get a text alert saying not to come to the surgery due to staffing issues. Sometimes twice a week. This is the worst surgery around.

Waited over 6 weeks for an important prescription, had called several times during this period and was told it was not ready along with several other excuses/reasons. After all those weeks we were told it was actually ready and had been sitting in the prescription box, in all those calls not one staff member had thought to check there. My daughter needed the prescription to aid her healing after spending a lot of time in hospital so this delayed her healing. Staff were not interested and were rude when we were asking what is going on. Even after we got prescription staff did not apologise and said it was our fault. Cannot complain through nhs as this is a private clinic. After waiting for ages and attempting a few times practise manager never called back, then told to send complaint in writing which we did but never got a reply. If thinking about using this practise then don’t.
