   Absolutely horrendous. Arrived at this hotel, online check-in code didn't work for main door. Randoms came along and let us in and said there was a default code to every room. Got into our room, it was quite late and needed to put our heads down. Next morning no staff about and we had to leave for a tournament, on return again no staff and again couldn't get in. Eventually when getting in, we had to bother others guests who advised room codes had been changed, and we could only get into our room using the code of our neighbo. Very unsafe. Tried phoning contact number with issues, and of course the number was switched off. Oh and also no toilet roll in the room. Not so smart hotel.

   At this hotel, you are given a code for the front door and for your room. As my employer booked it, we hadn't remembered the code for the door, so when we arrived we rang the doorbell. It was answered by a surly man who asked grumpily if we had checked in online. We had interrupted his TV watching, and he wasn't happy. The carpets throughout the hotel could do with a thorough clean. This was very evident in my room. There was also mould on the bathroom floor. There was noise throughout the night, with doors banging very loudly. The walls were not very soundproof. There were some good points. The room was a good size. The fridge and microwave were clean, as were the plates and utensils provided. The bedding and towels were clean.

   I enjoyed my stay in the Dalkeith Hotel Easy check-in with a keycode, so no messing about. Ideal location right in the centre. Had everything I needed, more than a standard hotel. My team and I will stay there again.

   So far I've stayed in 2 rooms here both extremely comfortable. I'm here for work and having fridge microwave crochery and cutlery is a major bonus giving me everything I need. Modern decor and shower rooms large TV with apps and Netflix. Beds r a delight to sleep in and I have to say the hotel is managed by the most helpful hotel manager I have had the pleasure to deal with. Someone who knows what customer service and hospitality is all about. Dalkieth hotel ticks every box

   Fully equipped , clean apartment. Really good communication between ourselves & host. Centrally located & good bus service into Edinburgh. Only negative was the lack of parking but we were aware of this when we booked.
