Great little hotel. Very close to Edinburgh with great connection trains/buses. Restaurant is amazing and very well priced. Definitely worth a meal there
It’s a fairly nice hotel in a good location with ample parking. Situated in a clean area not far from the city. An amazing welcome by a great receptionist on arrival, same the next day very friendly! . On checkout the receptionist was efficient but not so friendly although not rude they were not as customer focused as the other two. However everybody is entitled to a bad day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not change a thing. Both the day and night staff looked after us exceptionally well, ensuring we felt welcome and comfortable throughout. As it was our first visit to Scotland, the experience was not only memorable but also deeply enjoyable.
Lovely clean,spacious rooms.Ate in The Pub.Food,drink and service really good.We were served by Emma who was lovely,very friendly and smiley.Would definately stay here again.
From arrival to departure we felt nothing short of an inconvenience to each member of staff we came across. No welcome of any kind nor goodbye. During our stay we had to move room due to a rusty, faulty shower bracket & mouldy shower head falling off when showering. Had to ask twice for a room change after mentioning at the front desk. Complete lack of accountability with no apology from any staff member/management spoken to, rather “you should have told us sooner” from Linda! Before eventually moving rooms, the shower bracket was dangerously placed back into position…the wrong way round! Knowing we’d been inconvenienced, on check-out Linda offered no apology. Staff were unfriendly and for the price paid would expect better customer service.
Iff you go too Edinburgh this is the place too stay hotel is great and pub next door wow the food ,atmosphere, ale,and whiskey are all awesome, carnt sing its praise enough looked after me and my family really well
Very clean and tidy, staff are very polite and friendly would highly recommend the pub next door services very nice food also.

Great comfortable room. Only problems:- rubbish wifi & phone signal.
New structure just out Edinburgh. Rooms are clean. Car parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast is served in the near Melville Inn, you can take seat inside or have it take-away. Safety Covid-19 measures correctly applied.
