Shelves full of frozen bakery at 0820 in the morning and with staff putting more out. I asked what was going on and was told they were edible (they were fully frozen) then was told to wait an hour and they will be ok to eat! Staff member then walked about saying something, when I asked what she was saying she said she was talking to herself.

Every time you buy spirits the staff verify your age, then instead of taking off the security tag they simply walk away to the back of the shop leaving you standing there for ages and then their faces are tripping when you ask them to remove the tag as they should have done in the first place Poor staff nowhere near as good as the people who were there before

I had today awful experience at the counter, the staff young lady, totally unpleasant, rude and cheeky. When I added all shoping to the counter and went back for one item on shop floor and go bk, she said the counter i closed. I asked , shall I take all my shopping bk to the backet and go somewhere else , she said no and laughed at me. Then she was rushing to finish and I had no opportunity to say I want my points. It was too late , I couldn't add the points after paying, I get that, however it could be said in polite manner, without verbal arguing. I said I was hoping you kindly ask if I have Lidl card, she responded you should said you want a points with unpleasant tone. The staff did not say sorry, about the situation, just puffing and keeping arguing with unpleasant manner. Who would argue with customer rather said sorry I cannot help you cos too late to add the points. The really reason behind I think was the staff was rushing to close the counter, she just wanted go home or on lunch but unfortunately had to still check another, last one customer- me. I said I do not appreciate your tone and manner she shouted YOU Started it!!! Someone like this lady absolutely ruined my day and shopping experience with Lidl.Never in my life had to deal with rude staff, who does not value customer, and rolling eyes at the counter. Very poor and disappointing.....what a shame really liked this shop but not any more.

Lidl has moved on enormously from its first store in Maryhill back in the 90’s. The Duke St store is popular and well stocked.

Very useful store with good value products. I prefer coming out here compared to using the Lidl in the city centre itself as the city centre one is far too busy. This store has much more room and always seems to be well stocked.

The quality of bags WAS VERY POOR. The bag torn apart while i was going towards my car. Milk was all over the place. I asked the staff to let me bring the trolley to my car because there was alot of stuff that I bought. She didn't let me bring the trolley. I told her that I will bring it back. She didn't allowed me to bring the trolley. This is weird. IF I HAD ANY OPTION FOR NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD GO FOR THAT. IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE TO SHOP AT LIDL, DUKE STREET. I WANT REFUND ON ALL MY STUFF. STAFF IS VERY UNHELPFUL AND VERY UNFRIENDLY. BAGS WAS THE REASON FOR THE DAMAGE. AFTER THE INCIDENTS, THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE EXTRA BAGS AND THE DAMAGE CAUSED. CAROLYN WAS SERVING AT THE TILL, TARIK WAS THE MANAGER AT THAT TIME.
