   I see all the positive reviews about Home bargains at the Mearns but mines and a few are very different. Unhelpful and impatient staff, customers waiting at the till as staff look on and ignore us. I realise not every customer can have a nice shopping experience at this store and some staff have regulars they me know and like. So a smile goes a long way or a hello or thank you, that goes both ways customers and staff, as for the unhelpfulness, avoiding customers and impatience that is down to you as a person.

   Only went in for toilet roll, but an hour later and 3 bags full of great value cheaply priced goods, can’t go wrong with that, it’s a great smaller local store with enough variety to keep the bargain hunter in me satisfied

   I think we spend our life in this shop. We get wood and coal at a good price. There is always something cool to see and perhaps buy! Kids love it, husband loves it. Great shop, friendly staff, loads of choice, reasonable prices
