    Great variety of wines, beers, gin, port and whisky’s. The staff and owner and very kind, amiable and knowledgeable. Very helpful when it came down to choosing gifts, what you’re looking for. They had a great selection of whisky/gifts as well which whilst we didn’t purchase looked amazing! Very happy to talk about the local area and what’s going on and was a pleasure to purchase from such a great local wine shop. Purchased a bottle of great whisky for us at new year, a bottle of wine, a bottle of 2019 port and a locally brewed IPA.

    The wines are good quality with no chemical taste after you consume it. Staff is very helpful, called them by phone (other store just hang up and did not answer my call) to clarify the prices and selection and got all the information I needed! Afterwards got there, bought the wine and was not disappointed! Packaging is also very lovely!

    Needed to get a couple of bottles of Harris gin in a rush for a gift. Gave Canape a quick call and they confirmed they had it in stock. I ordered it online with Click and collect so I could dash and grab it. However, the chat from the lady inside was great and I ended up in the shop for ages chatting away. I ended up leaving with more than I needed including a gin teapot. I would easily recommend the shop, they have a good selection of stuff and the staff are a delight.
